More Details On The Future Of AJ Styles In TNA Wrestling

AJ Styles is locked into his contract with TNA Wrestling through December 2013. His deal recently expired and the company signed him to a short-term extension to keep him through Bound for Glory. The hang-up on the negotiations is TNA trying to get him to re-sign but at a lower rate than he’s been working.

TNA does have decent leverage in negotiations as we’re told WWE interest in Styles is “minimal” at best. We’re told WWE respects Styles’ talent but sees him as someone they’d have to “start from scratch” with at the age of 36. One thing working against Styles and a possible opportunity in WWE is the WWE Network and plans for a proposed show around cruiserweight talent being delayed.

Styles is featured on this week’s Impact Wrestling with complete taping results available at this link.

WWE are idiots with their ‘start from scratch BS’. The company is low on babyfaces. Put him on Smackdown, let him beat a couple of guys and then put him in the WHC picture with RVD. Why can it never be as simple as that?

Honestly Styles in wwe would get lost in the shuffle. He really needs to stay where he’s at. There’s no way wwe would do anything significant with him.

There’s a different between looking for a challenge and career suicide. For AJ it would be the latter

and they have RVD, ??? they have barret and mizz who simply are boring to watch wrestle.

    THATS BS!!

Wait. What? Having to WAIT for a Cruiserweight division and the WWE Network is working against a guy they’d have to “start from scratch” on? That doesn’t add up at all. Surely if they have to start over, NOT having a show to put him on right away is a good thing?
