Mr. T Disappointed & Saddened His WWE Hall Of Fame Speech Was Cut Short

Mr. T said he’s disappointed and saddened that fans couldn’t hear the rest of his WWE Hall of Fame induction speech. The following is from Twitter:

WWE sent Kane out to remove Mr. T from the stage after his went over allotted time at last Saturday’s 2014 Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

My thoughts on Mr. T’s WWE Hall of Fame speech were included in Tuesday’s installment of Ask WNW.

Why’s he confused as to why his sermon – uh, speech – was cut short? He just went on and on and on. Luckily I didn’t watch it LIVE and was able to just skim through it.

  • Dave

It was awful. Who wanted to listen to that for an hour? Actually, the entire HOF was a train wreck.

Litas speech went on for ages yous arent saying anything about her

    • Morgan “The Retro Goat” Hench

She was an actual wrestler. Mr. T was being inducted into the celebrity wing. Big difference. Though I do agree that hers did drag on a bit.

      • Bob’s Diner

Her speech was rambling and boring. Mr. T was a HUGE part of the success of the first WrestleMania

  • Morgan “The Retro Goat” Hench

It was over forty-five minutes long and almost entirely about his mother, why would he need more time…

I read Richard’s comments from yesterday and totally agree with him. Mr. T took this way too seriously-probably because he has never been been recognized for much of anything before. He is was not/is not/never will be a wrestler, but does have a cool place in the history of WM-however like Richard indicated, that should not take time away from guys who were there because of their in-ring work and what they brought to the industry. Mr. T is at best a ‘fringe’ wrestling personality and obviously no one coached him up on how to handle his HOF response. Given his regular career acknowledgment….the Emmy’s/Oscar’s would have cut him off WAY before Kane did. The fact he continues whining about it only shows he doesn’t have a clue to begin with what was expected of him. WWE should clear this up next year before putting ‘Fringe’ personalities in their HOF.

    Even Mr T’s Tweets overrun

  • SEAN

Even his tweets were long….:) RIP WARRIOR

  • Matt

After his speech and then these tweets, I can’t help but think maybe he has a slight mental disability or something. Something so obvious as to what happened shouldn’t be a mystery and especially to someone whose whole career was in Hollywood where everything is timed, cut, trimmed and bossed around. Way to look like a joke, Mr. T.

I agree with you! He seems like he’s missing a few screws…

Poor Kane. I guess they figured if he didn’t want to leave Kane was the one to take him on. That would have been a Wrestle Mania moment. Lol

    • Philip Thompson

Yeah, Kane was probably the toughest person available – and has physical presence and diplomacy skills. Remember, Kane’s a qualified teacher – so he is trained on how to handle children that don’t understand why their behaviour is wrong.

      • Evon Callaway Bitterweed Reese

Lol. Yep good choice. It would have been fun to see a non kayfabe choke slam on him.

      • J Vomkrieg

I had a teacher much like Kane at school. Brent Anderson, played Lock forward for the NZ All Blacks rugby team. (even had the shaved head)

When he told you to shut up, you did.

This is hilarious He was a freaking Celebrity Inductee not an actual wrestler he shouldnt have had even 20mins to talk i agree with Richard 100% He was direspectful to everybody that got inducted that night 40 freaking mins really?

    • John

At least the fans enjoyed Mr. T’s speech.. Lita spoke for 40 mins and it was awful! Everyone hated it.

  • Howard Stern

Everywhere he goes he is like this, always talkin about momma. I’d suggest searching for his interviews with Howard Stern they are great.

  • Bob’s Diner

I thought it was sad when he was cut off. Hogan looked a bit unimpressed as well. Interested to read what the remainder of his speech was supposed to be, since he had only just started talking about his children – something Mr. T has never done publicly before.

  • Austin

The disrespect is sickening considering he was taking time away from men who have given their entire lives to wrestling. Lita, Warrior, Roberts, etc. all deserve time to ramble on for as long as they damn well please. They put in the blood, sweat, and tear. He was nothing more than a marketing tool who (going from comments from Legends of Wrestling) was hard to work with.

    • John

In what way was he disrespectful? He has the right to deliver his speech how he wants! Lita delivered one of the all time worst speeches in the history of the Hall of Fame but because she actually wrestled that makes it more acceptable?

      • ryan25

        yes, it does

        • John

Mr. T was extremely important to the early success of WrestleMania.. I guarantee he was more important to the WWE/F than Lita ever was.

  • Lebron James

I thought it was extremely disrespectful to cut his speech short, and then to mock the man afterwards. No class shown by the WWE.
