MVP Reiterates A WWE Return Is Always A Possibility

As reported earlier here on, MVP is now featured in the Alumni section of the official WWE website. This has once again sparked rumors that the former WWE United States Champion is heading back to the company. MVP Tweeted:

The rumors are nothing new as MVP attended the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony and wouldn’t rule out WWE or TNA when he left New Japan Pro Wrestling.

We posted details here on WNW Premium about the precedent Triple H is trying to set with former talent trying to return to the company. Check out that article for more details.

This would be a great pick up/addition to the WWE roster. If I had to choose between MVP & RVD I’d take MVP everyday of the year. Better on the mic, and in the ring and since becoming a professional wrestling he doesn’t have a history of getting serious injured nor does he have a drug problem. MVP fits well in the upper mid card as a gatekeeper and can be used in the main event scene from time to time. And the added bonus is that he’s willing to sign a multi year deal unlike guys like Morrison.

Ehh…that’s ok. We already did this, didn’t we? He was cool while he lasted but I’m good to move on now. WWE needs to build the people they already have rather than messing with a guy who already got a chance and didn’t make the most of it. They’re development roster is stacked. No need for MVP, Morrison, RVD, or anyone else of this ilk.

So were you against the WWE bringing back Ziggler after his failed attempts with The Spirit Squad and as Karyin White’s stooge? Where you against the WWE bringing back Damian Sandow after he flopped as one half of the tag team “Teachers Pet”.?

WWE’s developmental system (OVW at the time) wasn’t stacked the way it is now. I’m certainly glad Ziggler came back but his case is different in that he never got a shot on his own. Damien didn’t have a shot on his own either. Umaga? Ditto. K-Kwick was a total joke and I am glad he returned. My point, again, is that NXT is *full* of great workers who deserve their shot in a way it’s never been full before. Why not make a new star rather than bring MVP back? I just don’t see any point.

I don’t see MVP coming back taking any push away from anyone in developmental, he can flat out work and could work with these younger talents and help put them over. You could use guys like MVP in a role that use Jericho in.
