New Hourlong Wrestling Series Featuring AAA Talent Coming To US TV

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Mark Burnett (producer of “Survivor” and “The Bible”) is teaming with Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network to launch a weekly hourlong series featuring Lucha Libre wrestling.

According to the report, Burnett’s One Three Media will partner with AAA out of Mexico and FactoryMade Ventures. The production group, AG Studios, is also on board for the new venture.

The series is scheduled to air on the El Rey Network in the second half of 2014. The network launched in December as a new 24-hour English-language network targeting the Latino 18-49 audience. Click here for more information.

Its backed up by people in Hollywood of likes of Salma Hayek, Andy Garcia, Robert Rofriguez, etc… A booker from ROH is also going to AAA. They are gonna start from the west coast and slowly moved towards the east while picking up talent from the indys.
