Attention all US Wrestling News World readers:
There is an urgent issue that demands your immediate and full attention. Our Constitutional Rights are under attack by two bills before Congress. The Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House. Both of these bills would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. These bills would allow the government to function without limits in blocking content.
What the United States government hopes to accomplish by the aforementioned bills is to stop people from illegally downloading material protected by copyright laws. However, the problem is that they’ve gone way too far. If these bills are voted into law, websites could be blocked on a DNS level, meaning they would no longer be accessible through your computer.
Today, Google and the English version of Wikipedia are protesting with “black outs.” The Senate will begin voting on PIPA on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. It’s crucial that you urge Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it’s too late.
