NXT Notes – Alex Riley Works First Match Of The Year, Enzo Amore Returns

Alex Riley returned to the ring this Friday at the NXT live event in Tampa, Florida. He and Kalisto went under to Viktor in the main event match. Riley has transferred over into an announcer role over the last several months as he has participated in many of the pre-show and post-show panels on the WWE Network.

- The other notable happening coming out of last night’s event was Enzo Amore was at ringside with Colin Cassady. Amore has been out of action for several months after suffering a broken leg.

Glad He’s Getting Back Into The Ring.

I think Alex Riley is great on commentary and is better there than in the ring, unless they really want to do something other than job him out.

  • King James

I’m happy he’s getting a chance in the ring again. When he split with Miz it really seemed like he would become a main eventer, the crowd was 100% behind him.

I agree. I actually went back and watched Riley vs. Miz at Capitol Punishment today after I read this news. Maybe there’s still a chance.

put Riley and Matt Striker together for a commentators gimmick. Have them commentating and then just bum rush tag teams saying they can wrestle better and talk better….could work…

      Wasn’t Striker released months ago?

      • Jason Bagemehl

i think so…doesnt mean they cant bring him back
