Official Cause Of Death Of Doug Furnas Determined

The official cause of death of Doug Furnas was atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease. His widow Martha has confirmed that he died “peacefully” in his sleep at his Tuscon, Arizona home on Friday.

The family is requesting that donations in Doug Furnas’ name be made to the Sports Legacy Institute.

Sorry if this seems silly that I don’t know, but who was Doug furnas? I presume he was involved in wrestling somehow just know idea how.

  ,Doug Furnas was a pro wrestler in the early to mid-1980. He was an accomplished weightlifter and powerlifter holding numerous titles in his carrier.I would say that he held his own the ring:a power wrestler but very quick on his feet .He did very well against some of the big names in the 80"s(Ric Flair comes to mind in one match and i believe he tag-teamed with Dr.Death Steve Williams on one occasion). I have been following pro wrestling for many years,and he will be missed in and out of the squared circle.If you get a chance try looking up a video of him on You Tube.
