Brock Lesnar Issued A Medical Suspension
Written by Richard Gray on Nov 19, 2008 - 2:10:04 PM
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that the Nevada State Athletic Commission has issued a medical suspension for Brock Lesnar following his main event fight at Saturday's UFC 91 pay-per-view where he won the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar is suspended until December 16th with no contact during training until December 7th for precautionary reasons.
Lesnar's opponent, Randy Couture, also received a medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission as he is suspended until January 15th with no contact during training until December 31st also for precautionary reasons.
Richard Reacts: Lance Storm said in a commentary posted on his official StormWrestling.com website that he replayed the spot where Lesnar started pounding Couture's head on the ground and he connected with 40 blows before the referee stopped the fight. Talk about a headache, I couldn't imagine taking one of Lesnar's blows to the head. Wait until Lesnar gets his punching down where he actually rotates his shoulders, Lesnar is going to be tough to beat.
