Cablevision No Longer Broadcasting Sci-Fi Without Converter Box

Written by Dave L. on Apr 28, 2008 - 4:09:37 AM

WNW reader Dave L. reporting...

According to Cablevision, they will no longer be broadcasting SCI-FI to TV's that don't have a Cablevision converter box as of May 27th. (For the NY city Area, dates vary depending on where you live.)

Which means if you have 1 box and split the wires to view channels on other TV's in your house, you will no longer be able to view Sci fi, TLC, A&E, ETV, True TV, Cspan/2 & Espn Classic, with out a converter box for EACH TV.

To add converter boxes its $6.50 per TV, per month.
