Ashley Fliehr, the daughter of Ric Flair, pleaded guilty to charges of resisting an officer and being intoxicated and disruptive in district court on Monday. The charges stem from a September 5th altercation at an apartment complex that involved her father and her boyfriend. A charge of assault on a police officer was dismissed as part of a plea deal in Orange County District Court on Monday.
Flier apologized for her actions and to the officer who was there. District Court Judge Page Vernon sentenced Fliehr to 45 days in jail but suspended the sentence for one year. Fliehr was placed on supervised probation which will require her to have an alcohol and drug assessment and treatment if recommended. She will also be subject to random searches and drug tests, but if she remains in compliance with the terms of her probation, she will be transferred to unsupervised probation after six months. Fliehr, a communications and public relations student at North Carolina State University, was also ordered to pay a $200 fine and court costs. Her father, Ric Flair, was not at the hearing.
