I'm told Scott Hall informed his publicist/representative/webmaster to "deny, deny, deny" as far as the fact he was rushed to the hospital after an overdose on prescription medication earlier in the week. This is why a statement was issued shortly after we broke the news here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium.
I'm told Hall is very sensitive about his image when it comes to drugs, figuring the stigma of being a drunk isn't nearly as bad as being a drug addict. Sources very close to Hall tell me he has "major" problems with prescription medication and this is not the first time he has overdosed or had a seizure and needed to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Hall is furious at us for word getting out about the drug-related incident because he is afraid it will cost him upcoming bookings. Apparently Hall has some financial issues caused by tax problems so he does not want to lose scheduled bookings for this weekend. Furthermore I'm told Hall was not discharged from the hospital by doctors but just up and left on his own.
Richard Reacts: I am not trying to start a war with Scott Hall. In fact, Hall was one of my favorite performers growing up. However, I have a responsibility to my readers to report the truth. If Scott needs help promoting an event I will plug it as I have done for many times in the past. All he has to do is ask Kevin Nash how effective we can be in helping guys earn some side cash.
