The Rock's latest film, Pain & Gain, also starring Mark Wahlberg, raked in $20 million at the box office over the weekend, according to studio estimates.

Despite getting what the USA Today described as "roughed up" by critics, the film directed by Michael Bay, came within $5 million of its $25 million budget in its opening weekend. Rotten Tomatoes has the film with a 47% on their "tomatometer" but 65% of audience members polled liked it. Click here for their coverage.

The film is based on a true story of bodybuilders caught in an extortion ring.

Richard Reacts: I didn't get a chance to go out and see it but my brother, Ryan, saw it and said it was great.  I trust his opinion and will catch it on DVD if anything else.

I got to see it. It was a good movie. I think it was The Rock’s best acting to date.

…And it’ll be more roughed up by Iron Man this weekend. Nothin’ personal, Rock and Mark, just business. And timing.

TO ALL THE ROCK HATERS ON THIS PAGE: Prime example of why McMahon brings The Rock back to the WWE, he’s a house hold name in hollywood & in wrestling and is still “super over” whenever he returns and brings a ton of non-wrestling fans to the product and makes McMahon a shit load of money. Again. any dyslexic 12 year old with half a brain understands why Rock coming back from time to time is great for business.
