Paul Bearer To The WWE Hall Of Fame?

We’ve received several from readers asking about Paul Bearer being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year as a posthumous inductee. We can confirm it was brought up when the news broke that he had died.

Bearer was well-liked and respected by everyone and I wouldn’t be surprised if a deal got done. Bearer spoke about his WWE legacy and a possible spot in the WWE Hall of Fame with Chris Yanek in January.

“I know that I will [be in the WWE Hall of Fame]. So that’s all I need to know. Whether it’s next year or whether it’s five years from now, I know the time’s coming. … I’ve been very, very blessed in professional wrestling because I’m just a Alabama kid, from the Alabama Gulf Coast that grew up watching local territory days wrestling. … I have been all around the world. I performed in all 50 states, 28 countries and I got a paycheck every week.”

Dual induction next year…. Undertaker and Paul Bearer going in together!!

      That would be awesome.

I would love for this to be the case, but can they?

The Undertaker would almost certainly be the head of the class, and he really is the only one that should induct Paul Bearer.

Sure, you could make it work by making Paul Bearer’s speech early, to offset Undertaker’s induction closing the ceremony, but it still seems awkward to me.

I hope he goes in this year as the final member that would be awesome. Paul Bearer one of the greatest managers of all time.

Only Undertaker can induct Paul Bearer & they won’t have him appear out of character whilst he’s scheduled to work WrestleMania, so I’d only want it to happen after Undertaker retires.

I don’t think it would be right, I mean he should have been talked about being in the hall when he was alive, not be talked about and put in just because he died near Wrestlemania. I’m all for a duel induction!

I don’t think they weren’t considering him while he was alive, rather I imagine they would have wanted to induct him alongside Taker. Whatever one’s opinion on WWE or Vince McMahon, I don’t think they could have foreseen Paul Bearer’s passing.

He most definitely deserves the induction and I really wish we could have heard the speech he, himself, would have made. Either way, he should be honoured.

I just wanna see Taker break kayfabe and talk about Bearer, I would love to hear some of those stories!
