FoxSports.com has a new article online featuring quotes from Paul Heyman. In it, he says at 100% health, no one could d have touched Brock Lesnar in UFC.

Below is an excerpt from the piece:

"If Brock Lesnar ever fought healthy in the UFC, I don't see any fighter that could have touched him," Heyman said.

As for Lesnar's health now:

"He feels great," Heyman said. "He's healthy. His body is not spending so much energy fighting off diverticulitis. He's healthy for the first time in years and I think his potential is limitless. He's a once-in-a-lifetime athlete. This is Jim Thorpe, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky, this is a once-in-a-lifetime athlete."

Heyman feels Lesnar can carry WWE:

"Brock Lesnar is the single biggest attraction WWE has and rightfully so -- because he can carry it," Heyman said. "This is not someone who comes along except once in a generation."

Lesnar is far from the biggest attraction in WWE. He won’t even do a full schedule because of an excuse of overexposure. More like because people would bore of him so fast that he wants out.

He won’t do a full schedule because he doesn’t want too nor does he need too. Nothing to do with overexposure! And please tell me who is a bigger attraction in WWE than Brock? Other than Cena, there isn’t one ‘major star’ in the whole company! Talented roster but none of them can draw money!

Lesnar from 02-04 wasn’t a big draw at all at the top of the card and that’s when he was Yoing and healthy. His face run was a flop back in early/mid 03. Not sure why Heyman thinks Lesnar can all of a sudden carry the company now. Now Lesnar is a once in a lifetime now and is a huge draw now mainly from his run in UFC but Lesnar doesn’t have neither the passion & dedication for the business or the personality to carry it. Sorry Paul E, your comments are completely off here

What?! You have a selective memory. Lesnar was a big draw. The excitement over him was one I haven’t seen since.

      • Xavier

No sir, you are the one with selective memory. From 02 through 04 Lesnar didn’t draw big numbers at all. With him as the headliner at WM19 the WWE barely drew a buyrate of half a million. He’s run as a face didn’t do well at all which is why it only lasted six months. It wasn’t until after UFC that he became a draw.

Why is it even relevant to be discussing Lesnar’s drawing power 10 years ago? Heyman said Brock is “the single biggest attraction WWE has” … Would you say he is wrong? Dolph Ziggler has the passion, dedication and personality to be “the guy” but there is a reason why he’s not.

          • Xavier

He also said Lesnar could carry the company. Which we all know is can’t. And yes Heyman us wrong, Rock still the biggest attraction the WWE has.

          • John

The Rock doesn’t even work for WWE so i don’t think you can say that. If you’re saying Lesnar doesn’t even work a part time schedule, then what the hell would you call The Rock’s schedule?

You can’t carry a company when you aren’t willing to work full-time and go “all in.” He left before because the travel schedule was too rough on him. I understand the schedule is grueling, but everyone else is digging down and doing it. Maybe I’m in a minority, but he just doesn’t do anything for me. He’s a great athlete, no doubt, but it takes more than that to carry the company. Hell, he can’t even carry the mic without Paul E. to fall back on. ,

For the ufc side. Someone can and did touch him. He had diverticulitis everytime he was about to fight JDS and with good reason. After Cain and Overeem were done so was he. Brock is a freak of nature and if he had heart and a positive attitude he could of overshadowed his current accomplishments. Brock is a ‘Jock’ to me. He respects no one and deserves the same in return.
