The official WWE website announced today that preliminary buyrates and global gross sales for WrestleMania XXVIII were record-breaking. Details are in the following excerpt:

Preliminary estimates show that WrestleMania, featuring the historic “Once in a Lifetime” Match between The Rock and John Cena, garnered 1.3 million pay-per-view buys with global gross sales in excess of $67 million including the live event.

Anyone that believed Wrestlemania did 1.9 million buys is nuts. But still 1.3 million buys is greats, especially for fake wrestling.
