Confirmed: WWE & Sting Working Together, Latest Update

We reported back in April here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com that WWE plans to release a Sting DVD next September. WrestlingDVDNews.com confirmed those plans are on with DVD and Blu-Ray releases set for September 23, 2014 in the United States and September 29, 2014 in the United Kingdom.

Below is the synopsis for the set courtesy of the website:

The Sting DVD chronicles his entire career from his Mid-South days as part of the Blade-Runners (with Ultimate Warrior) through his last WCW match vs. Ric Flair on the very last episode of WCW Monday Nitro (3/26/01).

The video features more than two dozen matches in total, many never before released on DVD. This includes a combination of well-known memorable matches, as well as some fairly obscure matches including encounters with Vader, Cactus Jack, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair. In addition, packages throughout the title will help tell the story of Sting’s career evolution.

There are also reportedly plans to utilize Sting in WWE 2K15.

Regarding Sting’s contract status, we still cannot confirm a deal with WWE has been finalized but the two parties are clearly working together. Sting has said he only wants one more match, one against the Undertaker. That is still a possibility but will hinge on Undertaker’s desire and health to work Wrestlemania 31 next year.

Sting is accepting independent bookings and has a scheduled appearance in Illinois in a couple of weeks.

I can’t wait for the Sting DVD to come out.

Same here. I’m also excited for him possibly being included in WWE 2K15. I’d love for them to have “Crow Sting” and “90s Sting.”

Entering year 12 of contract negotiations between Sting and the WWE lol what else is new. Wake up people, he’s not signing on the dotted line. I wish Sting would just really tell the truth on why he doesn’t want to sign with the WWE.

sting is 55 years old. at this stage of the game, he should just have ONE match in wwe at mania 31 and call it a day.

      • JR Texx (Jamie)

I wouldn’t be surprised if they just let him have one match a year like The Undertaker did, you know face some people like John Cena, The Undertaker wasn’t The Rock mentioned at some point?

    • Richard

What do you think that truth is?

    • http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/ Richard Gray

I don’t think that’s the case. They’re clearly working together.

      • Xavier

That’s the problem though Richard, they’be been “working together for 12 years now”. Sting was suppose to sign with the WWE in 02 and face Angle at WM18 and every year since then these Sting/WWE talks resurface which result in NO sting. I’m not questioning this story at all, I have no doubt that Sting is in talks with the WEE but what I’m fully expecting Sting too come up with a excuse on why he didn’t sign

I know what you mean, after seeing this WEE and Sting thing go back and forth for so long, it’s like the Cena Heel thing, I’ll believe it when I see it.
