Report: Jake Roberts Has Cancer, Will Undergo Emergency Surgery

TMZ.com is reporting that 2014 WWE Hall of Fame inductee Jake “The Snake” Roberts has cancer. According to their report, the malignant tumor is behind his knee and growing into the muscle. He’ll undergo emergency surgery to have it removed.

Roberts reportedly noticed the tumor in January and had it biopsied. On Friday, he was told that it came back positive for cancer. His surgery has been scheduled for Tuesday but he still plans on appearing for Jersey Championship Wrestling on March 14, 2014.

Jake is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania XXX on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the New Orleans Arena.

If you can beat drugs and alcohol, you can definitely beat cancer. You said it wasn’t the fastest man or the strongest who survive, but it’s the smartest and the coldest to do so. You, Jake, are just that. You can beat cancer like the cold, calculating Snake you are. You fight and you win!

Best of luck with your fight against Cancer Jake. Cancer killed my Grandmother with a quickness because she found it way too late for anything to be done to fight it. So trust me, it is not something you ever want to see anybody have to go through. Hopefully Jake’s Doctor’s found it soon enough for them to treat it and for Jake to have a fair chance at fighting it. Good luck Jake. We are all with you.
