Report: Linda McMahon Has Spent $42.6 Million On Latest Senate Run; Brings Total To $92.6 Million

The Associated Press reported on Friday that Linda McMahon has spent $42.6 million on her campaign for United States Senate. Just this Tuesday McMahon loaned her campaign another $3.3 million to spend on television and advertising.

In 2010, McMahon spent $50 million of her own money while running for United States Senate only to lose to Democrat Richard Blumental. At the time, McMahon justified the spending by saying she was virtually unknown and had to spend to get her name out there. She didn’t feel she would have to spend near as much on a second campaign.

This article comes on the heels of me writing here in Ask WNW that I felt the amount of money Linda McMahon has spent trying to get elected was alarming. The total now stands at $92.6 million.

She spent $12 Million more than what it cost to make the first Expendables movie… and this isn’t even half as entertaining as that movie. Well, if she wins, we now know what a seat in DC costs. And when she loses, we know that money doesn’t mean sh*t!

    Politics doesn't have anywhere near as good a storyline as action films, it's not nearly as entertaining as action films, and nowhere remotely near as useful or relevant to society.

So what exactly qualifies Linda to be a US Senator besides being filthy, stinking rich? Does she have any experience being a politician whatsoever? Or is she just trying to buy her way into the Senate? I will never understand why rich people think being rich qualifies them to be in a position of power.

honestly, internet rassling fans or fanatics should not really care how much linda mcmahon spends on her senate campaign. she and vince worked hard for years to build wwe into a global company.

linda's win or loss in this election is not going to make wwe move from pg.

VINCE MCMAHON HAS STATED THAT WWE IS PG FOR THE LONG HAUL. it has nothing to do with linda's election because just her association with ANY pro wrestling makes her look bad.

pro wrestling will always have a low brow, circus sideshow stigma attached to it.

If you can’t win after spending nearly 100 million dollars then you have some serious issues as to what people think of you, and I would recommend saving the money and never running again. I’m curious to know if her opponents have even spent a fraction of that amount on their respective campaigns. That’s just an obscene amount of money to have spent if she loses again.

I can't for the life of me understand you people. "Is Linda qualified" as someone put it. Let me see…she was an entrepreneur of a multi million dollar corporation. She knows how to grow a business, stay within the budget of the company, and create jobs for hundreds of people. Thats things that almost all politicians in DC, Democrat or Republican, haven't the slightest clue or experience in how to do. Bash her if you want but I know all of you are convinced that if she loses, PG is gone. Or if she wins the product is doomed. Plain and simple answer…don't watch the WWE or buy their merchandise. They lose money and viewers then things will change. WE the fans can change things buy how we spend our money (or lack of) spending our money. No more, no less.
