She has been taken off life support, but hasn’t died yet, correct?

    • Christen

i believe so she is still alive she has just been taken off of life support other wise still alive.

      • Chris

I see “was 90 years old” which represents death. Unfortunately, it appears it is close though.

        • Christen

you know i see it now i am a little confused. Is she still alive or not

Basically the fact that mae has been taken off life support means that HER family has decided that they will no longer keep her alive with machines.
mae young will pass away once her body shuts down on its own power such as kidney failure, heart failure, repiratory failure etc.

          • Christen

Ah thank you for clearing that up cause being taken off of life support can mean many different things. Either she died or is fighting for her life glad you cleared that up. I hope Mae can hang on bit longer

I had to make that decision for my mother many years ago. The doctors told me that once the life support was gone, she could die within minutes, or could live for days or weeks. One of the doctors told me he actually had a patient make a full recovery after having the life support equipment removed. The equipment was removed at 4 pm. My mother died at 1 am the next day. Mae could be gone by now, or could live for a number of days or weeks. RIP Mae. You were a great wrestler.

Keep fighting Mae. prayers to the family.

  • Christen

Okay i am confused did she die or is she still fighting for her life?

It was probably premature to write “she was 90″ but when someone is removed from life support, death is imminent. She died Thursday morning in Columbia.

In wrestling terminology, the grim repear aka chris benoit was coming to put the crippler crossface on Mae young , but a family member gave her a steel chair and she bashed benoit over the head with it before he could get her to submit. jim ross is caling this move a SLOBBERKNOCKER BY THE SENIOR CITIZEN!!!

I foresee this original diva being the first female in the WWE Hall of Fame. Or did I miss something, and The Fabulous Moolah is already there?
