TMZ has reported that Mike Tyson will join Edge, The Four Horsemen, and Mil Mascaras in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012. Tyson was involved with several memorable moments during the Attitude Era, including a confrontation with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and serving as a special enforcer in the main event of WrestleMania XIV. Tyson responded to the announcement by saying:

"I am honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, but the most fun I ever had in the ring was with WWE."

If celebrity inductions have to be done (And let's face it, they apparently do) I'm 10,000% happier to have Tyson in than Drew Carey.

I wonder if they will ever run out of celebrities to induct if they continue to do so. The one person I do see that would be deserving on being inducted IMO, would be Donald Trump, seeing as he's been involved in several major storylines throughout the years.

So I guess you only have to be on 1 episode of Raw and work 1 Wrestlemania match as a ref to get into the WWE H.O.F. now? What a joke! If I were an actual inductee I wouldn’t be very happy about that. Considering that every wrestler in there basically dedicated their entire adult lives to wrestling to earn their induction. WWE doesn’t need these cheap publicity stunts. Vince needs to realize that his company is already about as mainstream as you can get. There’s no need for them to have to try to use things like this for publicity anymore. All this does is make the H.O.F. look like pretty much anybody who worked a show or two can be inducted. Dumb move. Its not like Mike Tyson is still even anywhere near as big of a star as he was in the past. So I don’t see this bringing them much publicity.

First off, Tyson was a big part of the DX/Stone Cold war. Second, he is Mike Friggin’ Tyson. Third, he is STILL one of the biggest names on this planet. If he wasn’t boxing, guaranteed he’d have worked for Vince. Ask anyone who has met him and sooken about wredtling, he’s a legit lifetime fan. I can promise you this, ask anyone in WWE if they’re ok with it, hell ask anyone in the HOF already, and they’ll tell you it’s a deserved move. The only people who may cry are the bitter crybabies who aren’t, and likely never will be, in…I’m looking at YOU Zybysko.

first off, pro wrestling is a joke. it is entertainment. it has no credibility. I remember when congress was thinking about investigating wwe, tna etc and mcmahon said that it would be like investigating the circus.

it is entertainment and mike tyson was an entertaining figure in pro wrestling/wwe and in boxing and his name still means something in 2012 unlike has been hogan working matches at the age of 60.
