I feel awful for Rey. I believe this might be the beginning of the end for Rey. He is currently 38 years old and I have to imagine for a competitor of his smaller size and weight, retirement may be a smartest option

His size would make him more resilient to damage. Weight and height ADD to more injury (usually). A person falling that weighs 300 pounds will have a greater chance of getting hurt than a person half the weight. Many falls (especially on neck area) would be deadly for a big person, but most smaller people will handle it better, because there is less weight on the area being affected.

    He’s getting close to retirement

I think that this could be the reason he hasn’t been wrestling. I think that both he and wwe decided that he should take time off before whatever injury he had got serious and was hoping it didn’t. I think that Rey has nothing left to prove he should retire and become a agent, producer, or trainer for wwe. Rey will no doubt be in the hall of fame one day as the greatest little man the business has ever seen.

Rey is a future hall of famer and one of the best in ring performers of all time. However, his body is starting to let him know that it is time to retire. I think he should try and have another run and maybe finish up at wrestlemania 30 match in a pasing of the torch type scenario for whoever his replacement may be
