Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier has a fantastic Ric Flair article online. The piece is so well-written and in-depth, a recap won't do it justice so make sure to read it at this link. I have picked out some of the highlights and included them below:
- Flair has been out of the ring since August 2012, his longest stretch since becoming a pro wrestler in 1972. He's scheduled to work in Japan in September 2014.
- Ric said he doesn't believe WWE would clear him to wrestle after what happened with Jerry Lawler's heart attack a couple of years ago, however, he would like to manage someone like Dolph Ziggler.
"I think he's awesome. He'd be a great guy to manage. He looks like a million bucks. He just can't find his gimmick. He needs to work on his entrance. I could help him with that."
- Flair is close to signing a new deal with WWE and is only awaiting a physical.
