Ric Flair Confirms In-Ring Return, Would Like To Manage Ziggler, New WWE Deal Pending Physical

Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier has a fantastic Ric Flair article online. The piece is so well-written and in-depth, a recap won’t do it justice so make sure to read it at this link. I have picked out some of the highlights and included them below:

  • Flair has been out of the ring since August 2012, his longest stretch since becoming a pro wrestler in 1972. He’s scheduled to work in Japan in September 2014.
  • Ric said he doesn’t believe WWE would clear him to wrestle after what happened with Jerry Lawler’s heart attack a couple of years ago, however, he would like to manage someone like Dolph Ziggler.

“I think he’s awesome. He’d be a great guy to manage. He looks like a million bucks. He just can’t find his gimmick. He needs to work on his entrance. I could help him with that.”

  • Flair is close to signing a new deal with WWE and is only awaiting a physical.

I’m in-favor of anything that would get Ziggler in the Main Event picture.

  • Patrick

sounds good as long as Flair is not in the ring. at this stage of his career he doesn’t have to be…. he can try the manager role again.

    • Mysterion

“He’s scheduled to work in Japan in September 2014.”

      -_-

  • Calvin Tanner

I could see Dolph Ziggler as a future WWE World Heavyweight Champion with the exception of the ” Nature Boy ” Ric Flair.

  • Zack

Everyone loves Ziggler except management lol

  • Avalanchian

I’d like to see Flair as a manager to Ziggler. I think Ziggler could pick up some of the dirty tricks of the game to propel himself.

As long as Flair is focused on his promos on Ziggler unlike Heyman who is not doing enough with Cesaro then I think this would be great fit. Flair and Ziggler have lot of similarities and sooner or later the cream rises to the top and Ziggler will make it to top sooner or later

Anything that can get Ziggler back to the main event is something i am all for. Seems like a perfect match too with him and the Nature Boy

It’s a terrible idea. Flair would find some way to have the focus on himself or they’d turn Ziggler into another Ric Flair clone. That’s no way to break someone out. Ziggler has everything he needs he must needs WWE management to get out of his way and let him do his stuff. Flair can’t be trusted I’m afraid, look at AJ Styles, look at the WWE 2K15 panel. Flair is an old time vet and they tend to go into business for themselves. Woo!
