Ric Flair Found Reid Unresponsive, Called 911 – Drugs Listed On Police Report

Newsday obtained the police report in the death of Reid Flair (real name Richard Reid Fliehr). According to their report, the incident was from 1:30 AM on Friday, March 28, 2013 to 10:35 AM Friday morning. Reid was pronounced dead on the scene by a medic at 10:40 AM at the Marriott Residence Inn in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Drugs” is the only word noted in the category of “incapacity types” but the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office. The case was assigned to a homicide detective on Monday but foul play is not suspected.

TMZ released the 911 call on Monday, reporting it was Ric Flair that discovered his son unresponsive in his hotel room. While some have disputed whether or not it was Flair’s voice on the 911 call, he’s listed as the reporting person on the police report. Both the hotel and Flair called 911.

Reid’s funeral will be held on Wednesday at Forest Hill Church in Charlotte for friends and family. A burial service will follow for family only.
