Ric Flair Returning To The Ring With All Japan Pro Wrestling

Ric Flair, who claimed recently he’ll never wrestle again, is returning to the ring.

We noted here that Flair is scheduled to appear at the All Japan Pro Wrestling show on January 26th at Tokyo’s Ota Ward Gym. It’s now been announced he’ll be wrestling on the show in a tag team match, teaming with Keji Mutoh (The Great Muta) against Tatsumi Fujinami & Seiya Sanada.

Flair hasn’t wrestled in Japan since 1996.

I knew he lied about never wrestling again…what a moron I'm not suprised at all that Flair returns to the ring.

I don't think it was a lie when he said it. I feel he just can't help himself. He doesn't know how to do anything else, and he's still too full of p*** and vinegar to stay away from the business and stay out of the ring.

I feel like the minority but I don't mind if he keeps wrestling. I still feel like it's an honour to see him perform, no matter what the capacity of his role.

    Whooooooooooooooooooo

Flair and Muta on the same show? In the same match?
It's like the late eighties all over again. Everything old is new again.
    Almost.

Quick Question – what's the emergency medical care like in Tokyo?
    You know, just in case…
I'd hate to see Ric have a heart attack or a braineurism. We already saw that in WCW, kinda…

fair enough, but i have to admit, i will not be shocked when someday soon i open this app and see the headline “Ric Flair dies in the ring at independant show.” The Nature Boy still rules (somewhat), and i guess its only narural to wanna do what you love and/or what you’re best at, but i believe he is reaching past the point of fans caring less and into the “holy crap, really?” area.

When I heard Flair was going to Japa, I was sure it would be to face Japanese legend Muhammad Hussein.

    Flair tarnished his own legacy

This might be some sort of payment for allowing Reid to work in Japan.

  • The Breaker

Who honestly thinks Flair would say no when they ask him to wrestle and offer him more money?

  • Intergalactic Champ

From what i hear the money in Japan is phenomenal, and Lord knows Ric and his ex-wives need the money. A man's gotta do…..

  • Victor

Oh boy, I hope he doesn't have a heart attack.
