The Rock Has Reported “Verbal Agreement” For Another WWE Match

Canoe.ca has a new article online featuring quotes from The Rock to promote “Hercules.” In the piece, Rock reveals that the injuries he suffered in his match against John Cena at Wrestlemania 29 caused filming to be pushed back two weeks, which was $1 million each week.

It’s also stated Rock has a “verbal agreement” with WWE to do one more match. Rock said in the piece if it happens, he’ll do his best to protect himself.

You can read the piece in its entirety at this link.

Richard Reacts: The Rock tore his adductor and rectus muscles off his hip in his match at Wrestlemania 29 against John Cena. During the recovery process, he developed a hernia. The injury was severe and caused Rock to miss a scheduled appearance the night after at Monday Night Raw. He is in preliminary promotional information for Wrestlemania 31 next year and Vince McMahon wants to pit him against Brock Lesnar.

Good luck protecting yourself from injury vs Lesnar, rock.

Millions of dollars a year, limited appearances, far too aggressive, no consequences..

And they are in the middle of budget cuts.. I know there are some Brock Lesnar fans out there, and I am sure they feel the money was well spent… I am sorry but I am not one of them. As long as the fans enjoy it, I guess.

      • Simon Veitch

The biggest question, is whether or not Brock’s ability to draw, earns the company more than the cost to have him around. If WWE makes anything at all out of him then it’s more beneficial as long as costs are covered

    • John

Name one wrestler that has been injured by Brock Lesnar since he returned 3 years ago??

      • Saif

        Taker

        • Mathew Lisett

didnt taker gain a dose of concusion thanks to brock?

        • John

Undertaker got injured taking the triple powerbomb through the table from The Shield last year… The same powerbomb that almost the entire roster has taken without injury. Kind of tells you something doesn’t it?

      • Richard

He busted up john cena’s face a week after his return in 2012

        • John

Is that seriously your version of a wrestler being injured?

          • Richard

That was just an example. Saif below us had already said undertaker so I was offering another example

          • John

Well like i said below, Undertaker got injured when The Shield put him through the announce table with the triple powerbomb last year… Almost the entire roster has taken that move from The Shield yet nobody, except undertaker gets injured? He’s 50 years old, blaming anyone else for his injures is stupid.

          • Richard

It’s bit that simple. He may be old but he knows how to bump or should by now

          • John

Well go back and watch the spot again.. He falls down in slow motion and still hits his head off the mat. It wasn’t like Brock was actually in control of a move at that point.

      • JR Texx (Jamie)

He’s a question for you, Name one wrestler that has not been injured by Brock Lesnar?

        • John

Everybody he has worked with maybe?

          • JR Texx (Jamie)

Think you need to go back and watch his matches since he came back.

    • kavon

Rock already said lesnar has other plans

  • Splat

    Here comes the pain.

  • JR Texx (Jamie)

Well The Rock wanted to go against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and Vince is pushing for Brock Lesnar, I can’t imagine it being any different when it comes to it.

I kind of hope Rock V Brock (c) then Rock (c) Reigns. One can wish.

    Dear Rocky,

You were awesome. Your return was fun.
Apart from the wrestling part. Please don’t do that again – you risk further injury and it isn’t worth it.
Come back any time to make fun of people, though. That never gets old.
    Thanks

    Your fan.
    Bob

The Rock vs. The Brock could be an interesting match, but we’ve already seen a title match between them at SummerSlam many moons ago, so if Brock is the champion heading into WresleMania and drops it to Rock, wouldn’t it be seen, at least by the vocal few, that Rock was just getting his win back, much like the Hogan/Warrior match in WCW and the second Rock/Cena match?
