AAA Stars Coming To Ring Of Honor
Written by ROH Wrestling on Nov 11, 2009 - 1:32:42 PM
On the heels of the announcement yesterday that former ROH World Tag Team Champion Rocky Romero & former AAA Cruiserweight Champion Alex Koslov would be returning to Ring of Honor on December 18th & 19th, ROH officials are happy to announce that they have come to an agreement with AAA officials regarding the participation of two more former ROH competitors that weekend: Jack Evans and Teddy Hart! Just as with Koslov and Romero, these two fighters have been involved in a feud of their own for the last several months, and will bring it to ROH over the course of "Final Battle 2009" weekend. Since it's been quite some time since we've seen some of these competitors here in Ring of Honor, so let's take a brief look at the history of all four men here in ROH.
Jack Evans
Originally coming into ROH alongside Teddy Hart at "Main Event Spectacles", Evans was a founding member of the Generation Next stable, and made his mark with a high-flying, daredevil style that surpassed anything seen previously here in ROH, if not in all of professional wrestling. A consistent contender for the ROH World Tag Titles with Roderick Strong during their tenure with GN, Evans would eventually found his own faction, The Vulture Squad, after the dissolution of GenNext and the formation of The No Remorse Corps and The Resilience. Jack has not been seen in ROH since "A New Level" in May of 2008 when he competed in a Tag Team Scramble match, and has been competing in Mexico with AAA ever since.
Teddy Hart
The Loose Cannon of the new millennium, Teddy Hart's history with ROH, while brief, was not without its controversy. His first outing with ROH at "Glory by Honor II" saw him defeat TJ Wilson and he followed that up with some controversial activity as part of the 1st ever Scramble Cage Match at "Main Event Spectacles". His last appearance in ROH was as part of the 6-Man Mayhem during "At Our Best" that also included Jack Evans. That was nearly six years ago and a lot has happened with Hart in that time, but suffice to say that he has continued to compete around the world, and has made AAA his home in the last year.
Rocky Romero
A former 2-time ROH World Tag Champion with Ricky Reyes and Davey Richards, Romero came onto the ROH scene as part of The Rottweilers and immediately made an impact with a tremendous match with The Briscoes at "Reborn: Stage 1". Defeating CM Punk & Colt Cabana for the belts at "Testing The Limit", they held the belts for 6 months before losing to Whitmer & Jacobs. With several World Title shots under his belt, Romero joined Richards & Roderick Strong as part of the No Remorse Corps, eventually capturing the belts at "Without Remorse" and holding them this time for three months before losing them to The Briscoes. It was also at "A New Level" when the ROH faithful last saw Romero when he teamed with Richards in a losing effort against Steen & Generico. Romero has been making AAA his home for a bit, and is looking to show the ROH fans how much he has grown as a wrestler.
Alex Koslov
Koslov's history in ROH is very brief, but in only two matches he made quite an impact. At "Supercard of Honor IV" he took Bryan Danielson to his limit and did the same with Roderick Strong at "Take No Prisoners 2009" the following evening. Since those April matches, the ROH fans have been clamoring for the return of the intimidating Russian and in December they will finally get their wish!
So come join ROH as we welcome back these four tremendous athletes on December 18th in Manassas, VA and on December 19th in NYC, NY for "Final Battle 2009"! Tickets are on sale right here, right now at www.rohwrestling.com!
