- Thank you to all of the wonderful fans of Philadelphia that braved the elements last Friday night for the ninth ROH on HDNet National Television taping. With record snowfall imminent, you came through and for that we can't express enough gratitude! Night two of the taping wasn't as fortunate, as nearly 29 inches of snow in an 18-hour period and power outages shut us down, but we will return to the Arena on March 5th and 6th to tape once again. If you purchased tickets for the canceled February 6th event please email rohtickets@aol.com for refund or exchange information. Tickets for both nights of the March taping are on sale now at www.rohwrestling.com! The ROH World Television Title Tournament will conclude at this taping. THANK YOU once again to Philadelphia!
- Signed for "The Big Bang!" on April 3rd in Charlotte is the match that many have clamored for since Final Battle. After everything that has gone on, and the words that have been exchanged, it will be the Kings of Wrestling versus the Briscoe Brothers in the Queen City! The only question is whether or not the World Tag Team Titles will be at stake! After Chris Hero pinned Jay Briscoe in Philadelphia last week, the KoW are claiming that they've PROVEN themselves superior to the 6-time World Champions. Now they meet in tag team action in Charlotte! "The Big Bang!" explodes to combine the world of ROH with authentic Lucha Libre to present a totally unique hybrid event! - The latest edition of the Ring of Honor Videowire is online and available for viewing at http://www.you-tube.com/watch?v=_LduF4mlE_g. As ROH rolls toward NYC for the "8th Anniversary Show", check out footage from our big Los Angeles debut, as well as comments from the Necro Butcher, Jushin "Thunder" Liger, the Dark City Fight Club, and Jerry Lynn. Also, the Saga of Kevin Steen takes another turn as Colt Cabana takes a camera and tries to confront him before they both get to New York!
- We are sad to report that the Human Tornado has been pulled from all upcoming events. Tornado informed Ring of Honor of his decision to retire last week, and we respect his decision. ROH official Adam Pearce stated, "I've known Tornado for many years, and have watched him grow from a referee into one of the most entertaining characters in all of wrestling. Having wrestled him numerous times on the West Coast, and I can say that his style and charisma are unrivalled, and he was really only scratching the surface of his immense talent. As a friend and colleague, I wish him all the best and we will miss him in Ring of Honor."
- Steve Corino was quick to take credit for Human Tornado's hasty exit from ROH, saying, "I saw what Kevin Steen did to Tornado in Los Angeles. I saw the decimation, the blunt force trauma, the eradication of him. I saw the stare of greatness that came from Kevin as he laid Tornado helpless. I saw Steen take another step toward the heights he's capable of. It's no wonder that Tornado didn't want to face me in New York. He knew he'd get more of the same. I commend him for choosing to step away before we forced someone to carry him out. Looks like I'll have the night off in the Big Apple." ROH officials are currently reviewing this Saturday's card and will have a ruling on that before the week is over.
- Kenny King, Eddie Edwards, Kevin Steen, and Davey Richards all advanced into the semi-finals of the ROH World Television Title Tournament before the second worst blizzard in Philadelphia history engulfed the Arena. Now these four men will return to the Arena in South Philly to finish what they started! A new champion is born on March 5th! The layoff will certainly help each man prepare for his opponent, but what if an injury occurs between now and then? This is an entirely new crapshoot and you don't want to miss it, be there in person as ROH crowns the very first World Television Champion!
- Signed to appear in Philadelphia on March 5th and 6th as part of the next set of ROH on HDNet National Television Tapings: ROH World Champion Austin Aries, ROH World Tag Team Champions the Briscoe Brothers, Davey Richards (3/5 only), Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana, Roderick Strong, Shawn Daivari, and The House of Truth (Josh Raymond and Christian Able with Truth Martini). We'll have more names as we move closer!
- Ring of Honor welcomes veteran ring announcer Rich Palladino to the "8th Anniversary Show" as Bobby Cruise takes a couple of well-deserved days off.
