October 5th: Don't forget to check out tonight's episode of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" on HDNet at 8 PM featuring the first ever Tag Team Honor Rumble. Included in the Rumble are The American Wolves, Jay & Mark Briscoe, The Dark City Fight Club, The Young Bucks, The Embassy, Kevin Steen & El Generico, Brent Albright & Erick Stevens, and Kenny King & Rhett Titus. Other bouts include Roderick Strong vs. Joey Ryan, Delirious vs. Sonjay Dutt, Eddie Kingston in action, plus more.
October 5th: Check out the newest ROH Videowire, up now and available for viewing at this link. This edition features footage from Jim Cornette's return to ROH as well as a look at the epic final ROH bout between Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. Chris Hero also delivers another knock-out interview going into St. Louis and Indianapolis this weekend. In addition, we have words from the American Wolves following their win in Ladder War II, comments from Sonjay Dutt about Delirious and Daizee Haze, and future plans from Claudio Castagnoli. This, plus Kevin Steen and El Generico reflect o n Ladder War II, Dirty Ernie, now known as Mr. Ernesto Osiris, gets a gift from Prince Nana, and the official announcement of the very first "International A Double L Double" by ROH World Champion Austin Aries.
October 5th: The surgery scheduled for ROH World Tag Team Champion Eddie Edwards' broken arm has been pushed back until tomorrow. We will have an update on his condition as soon as one is available.
October 5th: With 'Survival of the Fittest 2009' coming this Saturday to Indianapolis, Exec. Prod. Jim Cornette touched on a forthcoming announcement regarding the sixth and final qualifying spot in the elimination finale. ROH officials and Mr. Cornette are now stating that events taking place this Friday night in suburban St. Louis will have a direct impact on determining that spot. "The entrants into the finale of Survival of the Fittest find themselves in line for a chance at the World Title," said Cornette. "And as of now, the holder of that title is Austin Aries. I think it would be in Mr. A ries' best interest to be careful of how he plays his game this weekend. I know he likes to play with fire, but he should be careful of what fires he starts because there is a new head firefighter in town."
October 5th: Steve Corino returns to ROH when we roll through Philadelphia on November 5th and 6th to tape six more episodes of ROH on HDNet. The "King of Old School" made a statement to ROHWrestling.com which you can read here.
October 5th: Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana appeared on The Wrestling Roundtable this week discussing his life, career, and a new documentary, "The Wrestling Road Diaries", which follows Cabana, Bryan Danielson, and others on the road showcasing the life of a professional wrestler and leads up to Ring of Honor's huge Glory By Honor VIII event in New York. October 5th: Just signed for November 5 and 6 in Philly: Tyler Black, Kevin Steen and El Generico, Eddie Kingston (11/6 only), Kenny King, Rhett Titus, "That Young Knockout Kid" Chris Hero, Silas Young, and ROH World Tag Team Champion Davey Richards. We'll have more talent announcements and a look at the first TV main event for this round of tapings next week in the ‘Wire.
October 5th: ROH's return to Edison, NJ on November 7th will be huge! Signed for the event is: KENTA, ROH World Champion Austin Aries, Colt "Boom Boom” Cabana, Joey Ryan, Roderick Strong, the Briscoes, Kenny King and Rhett Titus, Tyler Black, Claudio Castagnoli, and much, much more! The results of this weekend's events in St. Louis and Indianapolis will absolutely play int o what is signed for Edison, so we expect big updates next week!
October 5th: ROH returns to Detroit and suburban Toronto on November 13th and 14th. KENTA is on board for both events, and we can now announce the following talents: Matt and Nick Jackson – The Young Bucks, ROH World Champion Austin Aries, ROH World Tag Team Champion Davey Richards (11/13 only), and the Super Smash Brothers!
