ROH Newswire For September 30th
Written by ROH Wrestling on Oct 1, 2009 - 4:48:26 PM
September 30th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries was not happy that he was unable to complete the “A Double L Double” last weekend in New York. After pulling Bret Hart's name, with obviously no intention of wrestling, Aries was one step from taking the night off. Petey Williams took umbrage with the tactic and the two proceeded to have one hell of a match, which Aries won via countout in dramatic fashion. “The idiots of Manhattan were more interested in yelling ‘Twinkies' at Sinclair than to realize that they were watching yet another MOTYC from ‘A Double',” said Aries. “But because I'm a giving man, perhaps the greatest giving man that ever lived, I'm going to give the people of St. Louis what the people of New York didn't deserve. That's right; the ‘A Double L Double' comes to St. Louis on October 9th! And not only will my hat have every name of every competitor on the card that night, but I've also secured the names of 15 other legends and wrestling icons that want their ultimate wish granted. Remember kiddies, wishes can come true, but they probably never will.”
