- As announced last night, Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe vacated the belts after Saturday night's ROH show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Ring of Honor announced today that they will crown new Tag Team Champions in a tournament on June 6th at the Hartford, CT show. While the format of the tournament has not been announced, Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black and Kevin Steen & El Generico have been announced as two teams participating.
- Jack Evans will be taking some time off from Ring of Honor to work some international dates. The official ROH website notes that Evans is leaving on good terms and will be welcomed back when he wants to come back.
Richard Reacts: Jay Briscoe vacating the ROH Tag Team Titles was inevitable with Mark's injury. The only reason that he selected Austin Aries as a partner to defend the straps was for the Hammerstein Ballroom show. I know that Mark wanted to hold off on his wrist surgery until after the big Hammerstein show but the severity of his injury would not allow him to work. I would expect Jay to receive a good run as a singles competitor.
