ROH Tenth Anniversary Show Results: Young Wolves Prove Their Worth, Kevin Steen Rolls Forward

We get a video package looking at what has led up to the next match, between Kevin Steen and Jimmy Jacobs.

No DQ Match
Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Kevin Steen is the first man to make his way out to the crowd, still with the tennis racket in hand. The crowd loves Steen.

Jimmy Jacobs is out next, and he’s got Steve Corino along with him. Jacobs doesn’t get a great reaction, but it was pretty obvious that the crowd was going to be behind Steen here.

Steve Corino grabs the mic. He asks the fans, and Steen, for a moment. He says this has gone on way too long. He says Steen has been the monster. Steen makes light of this. Steen begs for Corino to hit him. Corino refuses to attack Steen. He says it’s gone too far. He says Steen beat him all over the ring at Final Battle, and Corino hasn’t wrestled since. He says he’s not going to let the madness continue with Jimmy Jacobs. He says it’s time for Steen to move on. Corino says the fans cheering Steen is only going to bring the company down. He says that he and Jimmy have talked about it, and it’s enough. There’s not going to be a no DQ match tonight. The crowd boos, but Corino says it won’t happen.

Steen steals the mic. He says the Steve Corino he knew would have punched him for taking the mic. He says he dressed nice for this occasion, and this is crap. He says as disappointed, but he’s interrupted by Jacobs, who attacks him from behind.

Jacobs takes off his overcoat, and he’s wearing the jacket he wore during the Age of the Fall debut. Nigel puts over that this is the evil Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs and Steen fight on the outside and Jacobs chokes him before grabbing a chair and hitting Steen in the gut. Steen fights back, but Jacobs continues with the chair, blasting him across the back. Jacobs throws chair after chair into the ring. Steen attacks Jacobs from behind, but gets another shot to the gut from Jacobs.

Jacobs seats Steen in a ringside chair, but Steen won’t stay down, so Jacobs smashes him into the ring post. Jacobs seats Steen in the chair again and heads to the ring, diving out with a suicide dive to Steen, flattening the chair. Jacobs sends Steen back into the ring and follows, grabbing a chair. Jacobs swings but Steen ducks. Steen grabs the chair, and hits a codebreaker, driving Jacobs’ face right into the chair. Steen goes for a cannonball in the corner, but Jacobs moves and pulls Steen to the outside.

Jacobs charges Steen on the outside, but Steen catches him and hits a big fallaway slam into the barricade. Steen taunts Corino before turning back to Jacobs and slamming him into the barricade. Steen picks up Jacobs and takes him to the other side, slamming him into the barricade again. Steen brings Jacobs up toward the entrance ramp, slamming him into the barricade repeatedly along the way. Steen grabs a twizzler from a fan at ringside and takes a couple of bites before stomping at Jacobs. Steen stands on the ringside barricade, but Jacobs it up and he slams Steen out on the entrance ramp.

Jacobs picks Steen up and brings him back toward the ring, but Steen slams him into the ring post. Steen grabs a chair and whacks Jacobs across the back. Steen tears away part of the barricade and lays it on the floor, slamming Jacobs down on it back first. Steen pulls away another part of the barricade, lays it down, and slams Jimmy down again.

Steen grabs a third barricade and lays it down as well. He picks up Jacobs, but Jacobs drops behind him. Jacobs charges and hits a big tornado DDT on the guardrail.

Jacobs brings things back into the ring and goes for the pin, but Steen is able to kick out. Jacobs puts a chair under Steen’s face and slams his head down into it. Jacobs heads to the outside and goes under the ring to grab a table. Jacobs sets up the table on the outside. Corino tries to talk to Jacobs, but Jacobs doesn’t even take notice. Jacobs heads back up to the apron and tries to suplex Steen to the outside through the table. Steen fights it off and pulls Jacobs into the ring. Steen tries for a powerbomb, but Jacobs fights it off. Jacobs and Steen head to the outside and Steen powerbombs Jacobs on the edge of the apron.

Steen takes Jacobs around to another side of the ring, then hits another powerbomb to the edge of the apron. Steen gets in Corino’s face, but Corino simply walks away. Steen takes Jacobs around to try for a third, but Jacobs stops it by grabbing the ropes and pulling himself into the ring. Steen heads to the apron, and Jacobs hits him with a huge spear that sends both men to the outside crashing through the table that was set up earlier.

Jacobs rolls Steen back into the ring and goes for the pin, but Steen is able to kick out at two. Jacobs gets back to his feet and grabs a chair, setting it up in the ring. He grabs another chair and sets it up facing the first. He waits for Steen to get up to his feet and tries for the Contra code, but Steen stops him and tosses him through the chairs. Steen goes for the pin, but Jacobs won’t quit. Steen heads out to the apron and begins climbing toward the top. Steen goes for the swanton, but Jacobs gets his knees up in Steen’s back.

Jacobs digs in his boot and grabs the spike! Jacobs tries to use it, but he misses and digs the spike into the turnbuckle. Steen hits the F5, and crawls toward Jimmy, but he doesn’t make the cover. Steen grabs a chair and sets it up in the ring. He grabs another and sets it up across from the first, staring down Corino the whole time. Steen turns the chair around so that the backs are touching, then licks them. Steen shoulders Jacobs, but Jacobs rakes Steen’s eyes to break the hold. Jacobs grabs the spike and uses it to stab Steen in the face!

Jacobs is looking at the spike, looking confused and scared, while Steen bleed profusely on the mat. Jacobs grabs the spike and looks like he can’t believe what he’s done. Steen grabs the spike and looks up at Jacobs. He uses it to hit Jacobs in the groin, then hits an F5 across the backs of the two chairs. Jacobs is writhing in pain on the mat. Steen goes for the pin, and this one is over.

Winner: Kevin Steen

Steen smiles before tucking the spike into Jacobs’ belt loops and patting him on the back. Steen celebrates for the crowd, much to their delight. Corino gets on commentary, and just apologizes, saying he’s sorry. Steen uses his blood to write something across Jacobs’ chest.

Jacobs has to collect himself, but he’s eventually able to make his way to the back. Steve Corino follows, talking to Jacobs the whole way, seemingly asking him what he was doing.

Nigel and Kelly kill a little bit of time by continuing to talk about how great ROH is, while the ring crew tries to clean up after the war that just happened in the ring.

Maria was probably angry because Homicide used her ex-boyfriend's finisher on current boyfriend because she could see CM Pimp doing it to him as well

Bradduh Biz.. I know your nervous about Reem v Jds bc they’re aimilsr in style but Reem is more dangerous bc of knees and elbows. Brock is more of a threat bc of wrestling and TDs, but Jds will be a walk in the park for Reem no matter how humble Jds is bc he’ll be humbled if he faces Reem.. he’ll be outclassed IMO.

Love the article Brandon. Keep inmppug em out.I enjoyed the amount of wrestling but all the sketchy finishes and silly stuff bothered me. I hated Orton running after Barrett even though I accept that he gets angry and loses control. The reason he’s pissed is because Barrett keeps costing him matches .so wouldn’t he realize that’s what is happening? I’m a bigger Smackdown fan. I tune into Raw for Zwaggler, Punk, and Del Rio
