Ryback's Goal Is To Take #1 Spot In WWE From John Cena

Chad Dukes interviewed Ryback at Wrestlemania Axxess and he continued with something he's talked about recently. He said it's his desire to replace John Cena as WWE's number one guy. Below is an excerpt courtesy of the show:

"It’s to take over the #1 position from John Cena and take over the company and I’m not shy about saying it. John, I respect him more than anyone, he’s a very hard working individual. He’s been on top for 8-10 years now and he’s been untouchable. I am the one guy that can touch him and I believe I can outsell him on merchandise, and I can do things he has not yet done."

No one can touch Cena these days. Sadly he’s the only full time star in Wwe that draws.

    Lmfao, really? Ryback?

    Stop being full of crap.

  • Spuddyz

The more Ryback talks, the more I dislike him.

    • H.M.

Why? Because he seems ambitious? He wants to be on the top? Doesn’t any actual superstar have that goal in mind? Why shouldn’t he have that mindset? Why be satisfied with mediocrity when you’ve come this far? He feels he has it; let’s wait and see. As far as his attitude goes its the right one.

  • He has the physique and look. If Ryback can build his mic skills, he can very well be the top guy!

  • The Breaker

Well, whether or not he can actually do it, that is the right attitude to have if you think you’ve got the goods.

  • Got learn how to say more than feed me more and finish it.

To quote a great legend in this business and a hall of famer of which he has said many many times and that man is stone cold steve austin. if you are not here to win championships especially the world championships and not be the top guy than you don’t belong in this business. if you dont have the passion than you are just wasting yours and everyone elses time.

I can see a face Ryback vs a Heel Cena after WM. Just a thought.

  • I certainly think this is the correct attitude to have and it’s not often you get a guy that comes out and flat out says ‘I wanna be the top guy’, I certainly think that Ryback has the potential to be as popular as Batista in his heyday, personally i feel he has a lot more intensity and passion than Sheamus but whether he can surpass Cena or not is another matter but as long as he hits the Shellshock on Henry come Sunday I think that will provide the first of many memorable Wrestlemania moments for him.
