Hmmm… let’s see now: Shawn Michaels gets numerous PPV paydays (including WrestleMania every year) without having to do anything other than be HHH’s friend, Kevin Nash got another run on TV that involved helping bury the champ and then a PPV plus a pointless spot in the Royal Rumble this year, Sean Waltman just got a job backstage, and the Outlaws have been following the Kevin Nash approach on how to set the business back 15 years for your own gain… and now Scott Hall gets in the Hall of Fame.

So this is what wrestling fans have to look forward to… the future is oh so exciting

    • Bad News Barrett

im afraid ive got some more BAD NEWS for you mr diner . wait until the clique as a group get inducted into the hall of fame , or when DX gets inducted . or even better yet , when mr helmsley takes over the reigns as the CEO of the wwe after vinces departure .then you can look forward to seeing more of your favourite clique members back on screen more often and getting a big fat paycheck for their troubles. hahhahha .thank you very much and good day to you all !

      • Bob’s Diner

Don’t worry, Mr. Barrett. I expect that by the time D-Generation X, Evolution, The Authority and any other stables he creates are all inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Mr Helmsley will be the first 10 time inductee so he can have a hall of fame ring on each finger. I guess that will make up for him never getting inducted into any others…

pro wrestling is a FAKE form of entertainment. the hof is a marketing tool. these circus pefromers are being “honored” for “entertaining” paying customers at scripted fighting shows.
no one takes pro wrestling seriously including the McMahon family; they know it is a joke and the only “real” thing about it is the MONEY.

          • Bob’s Diner

Oh look it is ‘dean’ with another name yet again! How come you’ve gone with ‘chris’ now? ‘matt’ wasn’t cool enough for you?

The HOF is being overdone now, imo. Inducting way too many people in one year.

    • Snap

It’s being overdone NOW? The average number of inductees per year, with the exception of the inception which only saw Andre the Giant inducted, is 7. 2004 had 11 individual inductions and the inclusion of The Funks and the Von Erich Family brought the 2009 class to 13.

I’m sorry, but I don’t see how WWE is “suddenly” (I know that exact wording wasn’t used, but the tone implies it) inducting way too many people in a single year. You can certainly question the merit of the people going in, but the size of the class has been pretty consistent over the years, 2004 notwithstanding.

      • Gary Robert

Well then I haven’t been paying attention…b/c really, who does? But, each week I just see someone else being added and I find it funny and over done.

    • GOR

This was bound to happen. WWE were inducting too many people into HOF every year.
They started with 8 & should have stuck with it. But then they started inducting groups in 1 spot. that made it even worse.
With this rate they r gonna run out of proper legends.

      • Gary Robert

Exactly…its not baseball. I don’t think they have the amount of worthy historical figures to keep up this kind of pace very long which is why I think its been overdone. And I know a reason they do it is so the actual HOP Ceremony is more than 10-15 minutes but if you ask me, it should be 2-3 WORTHY HOFers added each year.
