Seth Rollins Out Of Royal Rumble, Sami Zayn And Others In

For those that missed it on this week’s WWE Raw, Sami Zayn beat Seth Rollins to earn a spot in the 30-man Royal Rumble match on Sunday.

Per the stipulation set forth by Stephanie McMahon, Rollins lost his spot. He actually lost the match when Triple H’s music played and he didn’t appear. This obviously fuels speculation about a program at Wrestlemania 33 between Hunter and Rollins.

The stipulation really doesn’t make much sense when you consider that Rusev and Big Cass just announced themselves as Royal Rumble entrants, joining Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E, WWE United States Champion Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, The Undertaker, The Miz, WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, RAW Tag Team Champion Cesaro, RAW Tag Team Champion Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Luke Harper and Big Show as confirmed Rumble entrants.

WWE Royal Rumble is Sunday from the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas. We’ll have live coverage here at WrestlingNewsWorld.com.

  • The stip does make sense if Steph is just flexing her muscles. Other can announce themselves as “in” but Sami had to work for it because she doesn’t like him. I get it.

So, what? They’re just not gonna use Rollins at the Rumble at all? Or at most, they’re going to waste his appearance at the Rumble by having him run in and screw somebody instead or wrestle in a pointless singles match, when fans would rather actually see him wrestle in the damn Rumble?

I swear, man… I don’t care how star-studded this Rumble is; it’s WWE. They’ll find a way to screw it up by overbooking or having someone win who the fans clearly don’t want.

Rollins is gonna have to jump through some sort of hoop at the PPV to qualify now, if he’s out of it completely then they’re just wasting talent surely?
