The way I figure it, if I didn't see what happened last week then it's tough poop for me. I should have been watching last week. Same goes for everyone else. If it's ratings and so on they want they'd draw more viewers by scrapping the recaps and shameless "We have x-thousand Twitter followers, more than them and them and them" self-promotion, and runnning more matches and such.

You don't see any other 'long running prime time weekly episodic television show' (or whatever it is they call it these days) spending 40% or so of their run time covering the previous episode. At most it's like a minute or two of "Previously on INSERT SHOW TITLE HERE", before the opening credits.

Personally in this day and age where everything's available anonymously over the net, if you put a little thought into accessing it, I can't see why anyone watches Raw live.
To my mind the best way for the WWE to get ratings for Raw, and the associated ad revenue, etc, etc, is to make Raw as immediately must-see as possible for all the Twitter geeks out there, which means interactivity and unpredictability (i.e. the Raw Active thing, multiplied by 5, with legitimately determined choices between truly different options - Streetfight, No DQ, and No Holds Barred won't cut it).
It means making the show so compelling and so interesting and exciting and complex that viewers want, nay NEED, to discuss it in real time during the broadcast.
What they do at the moment just won't cut it in the long run these days. Heading in the right direction in some small, slight ways, perhaps, but nowhere near enough.

I had my "Run-Austin-Run" sign taken away from me as I was entering Raw. This was during the time Austin took his ball and went home as he didn't want to put Eddie Guerrero over. Or was it Brock Lesnar? He has the domestic dispute with Deborah and was on the run from the law I believe...hence the sign.

That Raw was awesome. It was the lead up to the KoTR PPV and it had Brock vs Booker T, nWo with HBK was there and I think it was the event that had Undertaker vs the Hardy's...or maybe just Jeff in the ladder match for the title. It was in Oakland in 2002, awesome show

Sheamus is 34, so he's hardly the future. Even dolph is 32 so they need to start pushing him more. I really don't think sheamus deserves to be a top guy in the wwe. He is boring on the mic, decent in the ring but can't sell a move to save his life. Just like he was supposed to have an "arm injury" going into the last pay-per-view, and he showed no signs of getting "injured". I know there's no integrity left in the wwe, but if you're going to be the world heavyweight champion, at least remember the basics. The faster ziggler wins the title, the better.
