The official WWE website has provided an update on his condition, and revealed he suffered a dislocated ring finger. The article also provides some insight on the severity of the injury:

According to Sampson, an injury such as this does carry risk, which is why the bout was stopped and Sin Cara is currently slated to undergo further testing. “We’re going get X-rays tomorrow to make sure he doesn’t have an avulsion fracture,” said Sampson. “Hopefully we’ll be able to finger splint him and he’ll be able to wrestle, but it’ll be determined after x-rays tomorrow.”

He’s too fragile and can’t seem to get things down in the ring. It’s time to pull the plug. You can keep the gimmick, just put someone else under the hood.

Actually, the problem with Sin Cara is that he’s ALWAYS getting a break…either his own body, or someone else’s.

Sad part is, there are many good mexican wrestlers or if u go even more south in the Americas. the thing is WWE pushed him too early and couldn’t handle it; maybe he wold have succeeded if he was sent to FCW, and if hew didn’t do well then WWE could have cut their losses and send him back to Mexico.

This guy needs to be the poster boy for botchamania!
