Richard Gray is the owner and editor of WrestlingNewsWorld.com. Beginning his career in November 1999, Richard has proudly been covering the professional wrestling business for more than a decade. Equipped with a computer and an Internet connection, Richard was fascinated by the fact that something he could write from his home could be read anywhere in the world. Originally wanting to pursue a career as a sports writer, Richard saw the demand for professional wrestling coverage online.
In November 1999, with the help of his identical twin brother Ryan, Richard started his first professional wrestling website at the age of 14. By January 2001 he and Ryan ran a website that received thousands of unique visits daily while attending high school. He continued to build his contact database in the professional wrestling business as he pursued his high school education. While seniors in high school, Richard and Ryan acquired WrestlingNewsWorld.com in February 2003 (click here for the history of WNW).
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University with focus in Business Administration, Communications and Advertising, Richard began running WrestlingNewsWorld.com on a full-time basis. Since then, Richard has used his talent as a journalist and his exclusive sources to break the biggest stories in the professional wrestling business. Today, Richard has broke nearly every major story in the professional wrestling business in the past five years, interviewed top names and made a bigger impact than any writer in the history of professional wrestling.
Under Richard’s leadership and talent, WrestlingNewsWorld.com currently serves over 40,000 people a day with the most in-depth, exclusive professional wrestling coverage in the world. Readers all across the globe get their wrestling fix each day by reading work of Richard Gray which not only includes exclusive backstage news, but the popular Ask WNW column and well-respected opinion-based pieces known as “Richard Reacts.”
Richard, 27 years-old, is married to his wife Kara and they reside in West Virginia. In his spare time Richard enjoys following his favorite sports teams (Chicago Bulls, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Penguins, WVU Mountaineers & Atlanta Braves), spending time with his wife, reading and lifting weights.
