Skip Sheffield Returns To WWE At Raw House Show

Wrestling News World reader Tim sent word that Skip Sheffield returned to WWE at tonight’s Raw house show from the Bank Atlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sheffield beat Alex Riley.

Sheffield has been off WWE television for over a year after he suffered a broken ankle at a WWE Raw house show in Honolulu, Hawaii back in August 2010. There were other complications with the injury and by Sheffield’s own admission, it was “much more” than a broken ankle and leg.

Was it his old gimmick or the Ryback one?

    • Dufus

With all that time off I hope he is still in shape. He was a huge man with some huge muscles.

  • Nameless one

I hope they changed him from his original character because I couldnt stand his old character.

doesn't he have a new character?

well there goes my belief the IT Begins video is Sheffield

Maybe he's just being brought back to live events to shake off ring rust for the four weeks before he's brought back? Seems like they might be spoiling it themselves, but if he works the tours as Skip Sheffield and then re-debuts on Jan 2nd under a new gimmick, it could work.

I don't think the videos are for him, personally, I wouldn't say that this rules out the possibility.

Yup! Yup! Yup! What It Do!

The IT begins again video is actually The Undertaker coming back for WrestleMania 28

    • lukey

Oh and you know this for sure do you? WWE aren’t 100 % on it yet, according to Richard gray

    • Bob

It begins is intended for Jericho.

  • jdl

Hopefully he's still SHeffield, as nothing could possibly be worse than this Ryback horse crap. He's a person, not a T-800.

I was at this live event last night. His new gimmick is a hybrid between Goldberg and an MMA fighter. He wears the MMA gloves in the ring.

  • chopper

he is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring he has no mic skills what so ever and there is no room ony any roster for a guy of his size to be made over every week. please wwe don't waste your time with this looser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • jdl

There's plenty of room on the roster for Sheffield. He can work in the ring, and I don't know where you were during the Nexus angle last year, but Sheffield was clearly the secondary mouth piece of the group. He can cut a pretty good promo when he's given the chance.

      • Blazeking

Tarver was the secondary mouthpeice after Wade.

        • jdl

No he wasn't, Tarver barely spoke. They all got their chance to cut promos early on, but by the end of it, by which I mean Sheffield snapping his ankle, Sheffield was cutting promos alongside Barret. Tarver just stood there trying to look tough with his silly little hanky over his face. The only other member of Nexus to get push on the mic was Otunga… which we all regret.

Awkward moment when you misspell ‘loser’. Lol in all seriousness I agree conpletely
