WWE Smackdown Results 9/10/2015
Thursday, September 10, 2015
From Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes Barre, PA
Report by James B. of WrestlingNewsWorld.com

The pyro hits and we learn tonight's main events are a champion vs. champion lumberjack match featuring Seth Rollins vs. Ryback, along with a six-man tag match between Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso against the New Day.

The lights go out and Bray Wyatt leads Luke Harper and Braun Strowman down the ramp. Wyatt preaches another sermon, comparing their rivalry with Reigns and Ambrose with the Hatfields and the McCoys. The segment ends with Strowman removing his sheep's mask and issuing the following warning: ¨They all fall down. Run.¨

Cesaro comes out to a big pop, still sporting tape around his ribs. He's joined in the ring by The Miz, who's looking more and more like a rejected character from Assassin's Creed with every passing week. After early offense by Cesaro, The Miz gains the upper hand with repeated blows to Cesaro's injured midsection. After a brief back-and-forth, Cesaro reverses The Miz's attempted stomp off the ropes and turns it into a Sharpshooter for the win. Expected result, but would have been nice to see The Miz get a little more offense in before the inevitable Cesaro victory.

**Break**

Paige and the ladies of Team PCB head to the ring as we prepare for a Raw rematch against Sasha Banks. The referee can't keep Team PCB and Team B.A.D separated as they brawl in the middle of the ring before the match starts. After finally regaining order, he kicks both factions out of the ring and orders the one-on-one match to start.

**Break**

Sasha is the early aggressor with a heavy dose of strutting and sass. She delivers the double knees off the middle turnbuckle and gets more-and-more frustrated with every kick-out by Paige. Paige plays possum in the corner after getting ¨hit in the eye¨. We get an awkward stoppage in the action before Paige storms out of the corner and hits a huge spear on Sasha. The bell never rings, and there doesn't appear to be an official stoppage of the match as more referees jump in the ring to separate the two of them, quickly followed by members of Team PCB and Team B.A.D.. The two teams continue to battle, all the way up the ramp and to the back.

**Break**

Following a lengthy recap of Monday's main event and Sting's destruction of Seth Rollins' statue, Rollins is backstage with Renee Young explaining his growing hatred for Sting. Sheamus interrupts and reminds Rollins that he might not have two matches at Night of Champions to worry about, he may have three - menacingly holding his Money in the Bank briefcase in front of the champ.

**Break**

The New Day heads to the ring, sadly without a trombone or musical instrument. Reigns and Ambrose start the match by punishing Xavier Woods. Uso and Ambrose execute beautifully-coordinated dives over to top rope onto Woods and Kofi Kingston below. Big E hits a big hip toss over the top rope, sending Uso to the floor.

**Break**

I spoke too soon! Woods pulls out a trombone hidden underneath the ring to the applause of the crowd. Uso makes the hot tag to Reigns who clears the New Day out of the ring. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Kofi and Reigns hits a superman punch on Woods before the lights go out. After a brief dark moment, the lights reveal the Wyatt Family at the top of the ramp with Uso's limp body in Strowman's bear hug. Ambrose and Reigns race up the ramp for the save, but the lights go off again before they reach Uso. Wyatt's voice repeats again, ¨They all fall down,¨ followed by his familiar laughter.

**Break**

The Lucha Dragons fall to The Ascension in a match that was shorter than Stardust's pre-match ¨Cosmic Wasteland¨ promo. Stardust provides the quick distraction before Viktor and Konnor hit their tag team finisher. The cosmic trio continue their beatdown of the Lucha Dragons after the bell before Neville makes the save.

**Break**

About 20 lumberjacks head to the ring, led by the Big Show and Mark Henry. After an arm-drag takedown and a hip toss, Rollins flees the ring and gets immediately tossed back in by the Prime Time Players and Lucha Dragons. Rollins returns the favor and sends Ryback outside, but instead of throwing him back in, the heel lumberjacks - Stardust, The Ascension and Bo Dallas - stomp and pound Ryback on the outside before Dolph Ziggler and The Dudley Boyz intervene.

**Break**

After some good in-ring action between Ryback and Rollins, the Big Show reaches into the ring and pulls Ryback outside, driving him into the barricade. He delivers a knockout punch to Mark Henry before getting taken to the back by the Dudleys, Ziggler, and the Prime Time Players. Ryback sends Rollins over the top rope, and the match completely breaks down. The heels pound Ryback in the ring again, with Stardust applying his finisher. Neville and the Lucha Dragons deliver over-the-top-rope dives to clear out several superstars. The only guy not getting involved is Kevin Owens, who remains isolated on the outside. With (almost) all of the lumberjacks now out of the picture, Ryback lifts Rollins for the Shell Shock. Owens trips Ryback, allowing Rollins to land on his feet, recover, then hit the pedigree for the win.
