WWE taped this week's Smackdown tonight from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Below are full results:

WWE Smackdown (Airing on SyFy):

* Randy Orton opens a show with a promo about his match with John Cena at WWE TLC. He apologizes to the authority before being interrupted by Daniel Bryan. Bryan says he's first in line for a shot at the Unified Champion, and proposes that he and Orton should have a match tonight.

* Big E Langston b. Fandango. Damien Sandow was on commentary for the match.

* Wade Barrett does a Bad News Barrett segment.

* Kofi Kingston comes out for a match with Alberto Del Rio, but Del Rio attacks him from behind before the match starts.

* The Shield cut a promo who will face CM Punk tonight. After some discussion, Dean Ambrose decides to face Punk.

* Curtis Axel & Ryback b. Cody Rhodes & Goldust

* CM Punk b. Dean Ambrose. No other members of The Shield were at ringside.

* Natalya b. Tamina. AJ Lee was on commentary for the match.

* Rey Mysterio & The Big Show b. The Real Americans

* Wade Barrett does another Bad News Barrett segment.

* Randy Orton b. Daniel Bryan. During the match, Bray Wyatt appeared on the Tron and told Bryan to join them. The distraction allowed Orton to hit an RKO to get the win and end the show.

  • “CM Punk b. Dean Ambrose. No other members of The Shield were at ringside.”
I believe the seeds have been planted for a possible Shield Breakup. And this could be one of the signs of it.

Once again CM Punk beats a young up & coming talent. Punk has never done anything to help elevate newer talent. He buried Axel & Ryback and now he’s probably gonna bury the Shield and kill any momentum that Reigns, Rollins & Ambrose may have.

      • SwipeMan

….You do know that Punk doesnt book the shows, right?

        • Danny_Boy

Yeah I know that but you do realize that Punk has a lot of backstage pull though, right?

          • Scott Davies

Its the way it goes, The Heel gets most of the beat downs & a few tag matches & the Shield have been dominate for the whole yeah. The face has to get a clean win somewhere. This is only to evolve the storyline.

      • Terra Ryzing

All you do is post about how CM Punk supposedly “buries” people. You need to to learn the proper definition of buried and then possibly find a hobby.

        • Danny_Boy

Did you not see that Punk vs Ryback from a few weeks ago. Punk literally beat Ryback in under 4 minutes. Ryback got no offense in either. Ryback looked a lot better against the Big Show. Punk killed Ryback’s momentum last year at HIAC as well. He buried Axel earlier this year and now he’s leeching off of the popular of the Shield and is going to bury them soon as well. Notice how none of the Wyatts got a win over Punk either. What did Axel, Ryback and the Wyatts ever get out of working with Punk? Who has Punk ever helped elevate? Hell he wouldn’t even work with Bryan at WrestleMania a few years ago and he claims that Bryan is a good friend of his. Notice how Cesaro lost his US title after Punk tried to leech off his popularity by wearing a Cesaro shirt. If I was a up & coming talent in the WWE who was having success I’d stay as far the hell away from Punk has possible. By the way I have plenty of hobbies so don’t worry about me, you just worry about yourself.

Mr. Danny – Ryback lost in 4 mins because he was being punished by WWE. punk was not burying ryback.

            pls get your facts right

      • Anand Vijayakumar

I was wondering when you would show up

If a wrestler cannot win as part of a storyline and all he does is lose, then there is no point in the feud. Shield is a group and go by strength in numbers. individuals have lost matches here n there.

dood – punk is not burying shield. In the TLC ppy shield is going to beat up punk to a pulp and what will you claim? shield buried punk?

        • Nick K

You’re arguing with a broken person, shouldn’t waste your time.

          • Anand Vijayakumar

I totally agree Nick but these people complaining about punk burying talent is uncalled for… They will complain no matter what. I guess, we must learn to ignore 🙂

    • BrooksOglesby

Seems like it’s starting a slow burn. I think they all have the potential to be stars on their own, but I don’t mind The Shield staying a unit for awhile longer as long as they keep consistently putting out great matches.

      • I would agree with all of that. Each one has the potential. we will just have to see if they can reach it.

though today if I was to bet on who’d be the biggest star I’d bet on Roman Reigns. He’s got the look of a major star and one heck of a pedigree.

        • BrooksOglesby

Reigns has impressed me so much, especially since I initially thought he was the weak link of the group. But yeah, I see him becoming a singles star the quickest and easiest. He looks awesome, he’s intense, and everybody loves a spear. I think they could push Ambrose to the top whenever they want, it’ll just be a matter of time and space in the main event scene. Rollins I could see being a midcard fixture, but he could easily catch on big with the fans and rise past that.

People over analyze the product too much. Just watch the damn show and enjoy. We are fans. Not part of creative and for sure not part of the show. Relax.

    • Anand Vijayakumar

some people will complain no matter what 🙂

  • Smark

looks like there are a lot of potentially great match ups this week. Punk/Ambrose, Natalya/Tamina and Orton/Bryan. This could actually be worth watching this time.

  • JAE

Once again, no John Cena on Smackdown. Does anybody recall his little speech upon returning and winning the WHC?
How many times has he been on Smackdown since?

And I’m definitely not thrilled about Axel and Ryback going over the Tag Team Champs..
