WWE taped this week’s WWE Smackdown from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Wrestling News World reader Eloy sent in full results from the show:

WWE Smackdown (Airing On SyFy):

* The WWE WHC Title situation from Raw is recapped. The entire lower level of the arena is full.

* Randy Orton opens the show with a promo about his status as champion. John Cena interrupts and asks how he wants to be remembered: A champion of champions, or a puss bag like last Monday? Orton says he does what he needs to do to win and Cena reminds Orton that Daniel Bryan won by disqualification. Cena says Orton showed up at WWE TLC and fought like a man, but that only lasted one day. Orton says Bryan is not getting a rematch. Bryan interrupts and accuses Orton of being afraid. Bryan says that when Cena gets his rematch, Cena will win. Once Cena is champion, Cena will give him a fair shot at the the title. Bryan says that Orton is not the real face of the WWE. The Shield comes out next, followed by CM Punk. With The Shield surrounding the ring, Vickie Guerrero comes out to announce that CM Punk, Cena, and Bryan will take on The Shield tonight.

The Wyatts surround Cody after the match, but Daniel Bryan runs out with a chair to make the save. He hits Harper and Rowan with the chair, but they stop him before he can hit Bray. Bryan fights them off and gets some punches on Bray. Our correspondent emphasized that this was a great match.

* Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes & Goldust b. The Wyatt Family. Bryan got the win with a running knee on Harper.

* Damien Sandow comes to the ring and says the WWE Universe doesn’t deserve Christmas, so he will be personally cancelling it on Raw. I like the direction with Big E Langston. A perfect opportunity to break Roman away as well. Have him feud with Big E.

  • Ranveer

Has Miz turned face again?? Talk about a confused entity!

    • Eloy

He was tonight! Even got a nice pop!

So perplexing. And with DB, it seems they can’t choose between an angle with Cena/Orton or one with the Wyatts.

The show seems like it’s packed with better material than the last few Smackdown shows. Pretty stoked to catch it.

I can see the Roman Reigns vs. Big E Langston feud going on for years because these two guys are gonna be Main Event stars for years to come

  • Lance UpperCutt

Good Santa vs bad Xanta (typo but it works) Where was that match??

I think this is a plan by Brodus and Tensai to turn heel and will stay as a tag-team, I’m sure When they first got together Tensai Wanted them to be mean and hard hitting but Brodus convinced him to dance so maybe they want to be taken seriously? Or I could be wrong.

  • Chris

when tensai joined brodus I saw this as a brilliant opportunity to get Tensai over as a heel if he could get some success as a face with brodus and then turn on him, instead Brodus seems to be getting the heel nod, but will he get a push?

WWE have a nasty habit of doing a good build with no plan for afterword, Fandango, Ziggler, Show! Built up and then had the big match and then they have no idea for after that. Big E is the intercontinental Champion, why is he tag teaming, here’s hoping they can pull him back into a plan before he falls into a story limbo like the previous champion.
