WWE Diva Maria in Playboy
Fans of World Wrestling Entertainment know by now diva Maria Kanellis will be featured in the April 2008 edition of Playboy Magazine. Each year the WWE picks one of their best looking divas to do a photo shoot with the magazine and be featured on the cover right before their flagship pay-per-view WrestleMania. Maria was chosen this year out of several other top divas.
Maria was born on February 25, 1982 in Ottawa, Illinois. After graduating Ottawa Township High School in 2000 she was featured on the reality show Outback Jack. She was on the show looking for love, and made to the final three and was cut.
In 2004 she decided to compete in the WWE Diva Search. While she did not win the contest she was later hired by World Wrestling Entertainment and sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling for training. While her pro wrestling skills still lag behind other top divas, she was brought up to the RAW roster in 2004 as a backstage interviewer. Despite being a brunette she was given a "dumb blonde" / innocent teenager style gimmick. Since then she has improved her wrestling skills and now participates on Monday Night RAW as a wrestler and as a valet.
Now at the age of 26 Maria has achieved one of the top honors in her career by being the April 2008 Playboy Cover Girl.
