*Spoiler* Notable Streak Ends At This Week’s Smackdown Taping

In a note of significance from this week’s Smackdown taping, The Shield suffered their first clean loss on WWE television as a trio in a match that will air on Friday night’s broadcast. The match, which saw Randy Orton pair with Team Hell to oppose The Shield, ended when Daniel Bryan made Seth Rollins submit in the no lock.

Lilian Garcia announced this was the first time The Shield had lost a 6-man tag match. While they have lost via disqualification on television (to Cena, Ryback, & Sheamus on 3/4 Raw and to Team Hell No & John Cena on 5/13 Raw) and clean in a dark match following the April 23, 2013 Smackdown taping to Triple H & The New Age Outlaws, it is their first clean loss on television.

Here’s a look at the streak:

As a group that is impressive…. steak as a group…………… but in singles matches both Ambrose and Rollins have lost all ready.. Ambrose lost to Undertaker and Rollins to Daniel Bryan.

I think it speaks volumes of the shield since they’ve already been allowed to have say in their storyline and the fact that they went under on free tv and not to an icon like taker or HHH is really impressive to me. While I don’t agree with them losing now and clean it impresses me that they did it, with what seems like no complaints at all.

Much as it sucks to say, no one stays undefeated in wrestling these days. Goldberg went undefeated and lost, Gillberg went on a neverending losing streak and won, and now The Shield suffers their first loss. The only thing I don’t like is that it was to Team Hell No AND Orton. Guess the Vip…Apex Pred…Legend Kill…whatever he calls himself these days still has a ton of stroke backstage. Regardless, I still BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD!

I have always said from the outset that whoever hands The Shield their first lost should be someone outside of the super established guys (Cena, Sheamus, Orton ) who can benefit from ending the Shield’s streak. (Yes I know Orton was a part of the team and Cena got the DQ win on The Shield already). Daniel Bryan was the only logical choice to get the decisive submission that ended The Shield’s streak. He has been feuding with them for a while and he is on an epic hot streak right now so it stands to reason that he should be the one to hand The Shield their first loss. However I hope that creative continues to book The Shield strongly even after this because they have been awesome in the ring, and are one of the few bright spots on Raw this year. I am a fan of both Daniel Bryan and The Shield, and I am thrilled for all the guys because those 4 rarely deliver a bad match, and Daniel deserves some major kudos for being one of the hardest workers on the roster today

I feel it’s time that Orton turns heel this Sunday and rkos Bryan that starts a triple threat feud between him Bryan and Kane

  • sheamus fan

And I am really disappointed that

sheamus is in the pre show against sandow. Hope wwe creative gives him the raw mitb and he cashes in on ryback at night of champions. When he finally becomes wwe champ by pinning punk in a fatal 4 way including cena and Bryan obviously cena as the champ
