*Spoilers* Smackdown Taping Results From Columbia, South Carolina

WWE taped this week’s Smackdown tonight from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. Below are full taping results:

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy)

* Alberto Del Rio opens the show with a promo about his attack on Sheamus on Raw. Sheamus‘ music hits and Ricardo Rodriguez comes out dressed as Sheamus. Del Rio and Ricardo, as Sheamus, discuss their match at No Way Out before Teddy Long interrupts. Long reveals that John Laurinaitis put him in control tonight and announces the main event: Sheamus vs. Kane. In addition, he announces that Alberto Del Rio vs. The Great Khali will be taking place immediately.

* Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez b. The Great Khali by submission with the cross armbreaker.

* Backstage, Naomi & Cameron are dancing for Teddy Long when Brodus Clay walks in. Long informs Clay that he is now a permanent member of the Smackdown roster. Clay says that he’ll treat his opponent tonight like he would treat Big Show after his assault last week.

* Brodus Clay b. Derrick Bateman. Clay, Naomi, & Cameron danced in the ring with kids after the win.

* Sin Cara b. Drew McIntyre. In a segment that was likely just for the live crowd, McIntyre cut a promo after the match about his spot in the company, but Triple H interrupted and gave him a Pedigree.

* Ryback b. two jobbers in a squash match. The jobbers cut a promo before the match about being fans of the hometown rivals.

* The Peep Show set is in the ring, but Cody Rhodes comes out and destroys it. Christian comes out and Rhodes says that no one believes that he is a changed man. Christian explains, saying that inducting Edge into the Hall of Fame made him realize that he wants to be remembered as a champion, not someone who whined about one more match. Dolph Ziggler interrupts, ready to compete.

* Christian b. Dolph Ziggler

* Michael Cole cuts a promo about moving on from what happened on Raw. Jim Ross‘ music hits, but Hornswoggle comes out dressed as JR. Hornswoggle starts talking to Cole, but Damien Sandow interrupts with a mic. Sandow starts tearing into Hornswoggle, but Tyson Kidd interrupts and chases Sandow out of the ring. Kidd turns to Hornswoggle, and Sandow sneaks back into the ring to assault Kidd. Sandow hits his finisher on Kidd and poses for the crowd.

* Matt Striker interviews Kane backstage about his match at No Way Out. Striker then asks about AJ, and Kane simply walks away. AJ then appears from behind some boxes in the background.

* Antonio Cesaro w/ Aksana b. Jimmy Uso. Teddy Long announced Cesaro’s entrance and raised his hand after the victory.

* Sheamus b. Kane by disqualification when Alberto Del Rio interfered. Del Rio attacked Sheamus, but Kane got involved and attacked Del Rio. After getting rid of Del Rio, AJ appeared on the ramp and stared at Kane, which allowed Sheamus to attack Kane, ending the show.

After reading the NXT spoilers, I feel sorry for Jimmy Uso. The proud Samoan superstar had to compete back to back? Nonesense. I hope Jimmy was able to compete well.

Its nice to see Drew McIntyre, Very European Antonio Cesaro, Brodus Clay & Sin Cara back.

    • BigMike

Im not sure whats worse his Antonio Cesaro name or his Claudio Icantspellhislastname

Ahh yea good ole smackdown is back (kinda) but im getting tired of this whole supershow crap that needs to go quick, and the draft is needed very soon… but smackdown looks good :D finally teddy long is the GM (for one night) HOLLA HOLLA PLAYA

Highlight of this episode from what I've read: Cody calling Christian out on his unexplained face turn. IMO I think they spun it off well. It'd be even better if Christian pulled an Edge and just played the crowd.

Lastly, ideally I'd have liked to see Kane destroy everyone in the last segment…simply because it's Kane…yeah, biased Kane mark over here lol.

AJ just gets so much more intriguing. I wonder if Kane will win the WWE title. Honestly I'm not opposed to it – Kane mark and all.

Seems like a good episode. I just hope WWE advances with Ziggler after NWO since it seems like there's nothing for him right now.

Also Clay on SD! is kind of overkill – I do like that this show produces some great stars but we have Sandow, Ryback and Cesaro as new talents. Brodus Clay should really move on from the 'squashing jobbers' role at this point. It's been like 6 months since his debut as the Funkasaurus.

Goodbye WWE, after so many years i'm actually getting very very uninterested, i'm not sure why but i think the wirting and scripting plays a huge role, it's getting annoying and frustrating, stupid things like having to make my brain purposely forget so many things like oh this guy didn't win NXT but he's a big force in WWE and the guy who won isn't there, it's not a big deal but too many little things and the whole show is changing the logic of ur entertained mind. It's become boring and when fckin BROCK LESNAR returns and i could care less couple weeks later nothing will bring my interest back. Tata WWE and tata WNW world.
