WWE taped this week’s Smackdown tonight from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Below are full results:

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy):

* Mr. McMahon opens the show and announces the new Smackdown General Manager: Booker T. Alberto Del Rio then comes out and begins to remind everyone that he refuses to compete until SummerSlam. Sheamus interrupts Del Rio and says that he’s glad he isn’t a “rich punk” like him. Booker got involved and booked Sheamus vs. Tensai and Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton for tonight. Del Rio resists, telling Booker that he doesn’t plan on competing, but Booker reminds him that he is the new boss.

Del Rio and Rodriguez tried to escape up the ramp, but Sheamus ran out and tossed Del Rio back into the ring. Orton hit an RKO on Del Rio to end the show.

A.W. with that live mic is kind of like a modern day version of Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart…. come on baby you can do it…only A.W. lacks the charisma Jimmy has.

    • Bryan

AW isnt even worthy of being compared to the great Jimmy Hart.

  • jay

    Pls fire orton

  • Austin

Please just tell me this. Del Rio is the number 1 contender for the WHC. So you would think they would build him up as a strong opponent to make you think he has a chance. It would have been perfect to have Del Rio beat Orton clean. That would have made a statement for Del Rio, and would have been a punishment for Orton. But no Del Rio looks weak and Orton gets to bury young talent. Great job WWE. Top notch work.
