WWE taped this week's Smackdown from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Below are full results:
WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday on SyFy):

* Mark Henry opens the show by coming to the ring wearing a leg cast and using crutches. He says he's hurt, but not broken. He blamed Big Show for making him kick him in the groin at Survivor Series. Show came out and confronted Henry, who called Show a loser. Show knocked him out with the KO Punch.

* Daniel Bryan ran to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. He cashed it in and pinned Henry, but Teddy Long came out to inform Bryan that since Henry was unable to compete, the match was not official and the result had been voided. Long then returned the briefcase to Bryan and announced the main event for tonight: Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton in a #1 Contender's Match to face Mark Henry next week's Smackdown.

* Hunico b. Justin Gabriel

* Beth Phoenix & Natalya b. AJ & Kaitlyn. Alicia Fox was on commentary. Kaitlyn left AJ in the ring while Beth and Natalya continued attacking AJ. Alicia intervened and helped AJ to the back with an official.

* Zack Ryder talked to Sheamus backstage about his United States Championship Match petition. It is announced that Ryder and Sheamus will face Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler later tonight.

* Teddy Long and Aksana are backstage. Mark Henry confronts Long about having to defend his title next week. In spite of that, Long makes next week's title match a steel cage match.

* Zack Ryder & Sheamus b. Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler

* Daniel Bryan & AJ are backstage. They both talk about how they've had bad luck tonight before Bryan is interrupted by Wade Barrett, who says that he'll win the fatal four-way match tonight. Barrett walks off and Bryan and AJ end the segment by kissing.

* Ted DiBiase b. Heath Slater. Jinder Mahal appeared on the tron and said that DiBiase is disrespecting his heritage by holding his DiBiase Posse Parties with common WWE fans.

* Matt Striker interviewed Cody Rhodes backstage. Rhodes said that he threw water in Booker T's face on Raw because he looked at Rhodes the wrong way. He said he'll win the fatal four-way match tonight, and he says that he "can dig that, sucka!"

* Daniel Bryan b. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, & Wade Barrett to become the #1 Contender. Bryan will now face Mark Henry next week in a steel cage match for the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Rhodes ambushed Bryan and started beating him down. Orton stopped Rhodes with an RKO to end the show.

    FINALLY!!!! Dragon gets some

I really hope that bryan wins the title and becomes the first man to hold both the mitb and the world title at the same time!

  • Van

Damn you Teddy Long!Doesn't he know that the rules of the MITB briefcase are that they can cash in at anywhere anytime no matter what?

    • HHHRedmonster

The Rule has always been that both men have to be standing before the match starts, Edge had to wait for Cena to stand before he speared him, same with Undertaker…so on and so on. Bryan ran into the ring and just pinned Henry who was knocked out.

  • adboy

what does mitb means by saying title shot anywhere anyplace anytime if the title won by bryan was invalid it doesn't goes with mitb breifcase image , teddy long is fool and wwe management has ruined their own show and event mitb by such decision

  • Patrick_Peralta

I'm sure Cole Bitched and Moaned about Daniels cashing in early since he promised to cash in at Wrestlemaina.

  • Jeremy

ok so explain Punk cashing in on Edge when he was knocked out from a powerbomb by Batista. Punk just picked him up and hit GTS and won the title. The ref didn't wait for Edge to be standing. That is the rules of MITB and Teddy Long just made the whole thing stupid.

  • Petey

Wow Bryan sucks so glad he didn't become the champ. so boring lol

  • 1vinny1

Wasn't the whole point of the MITB breifcase to be used when the champion was at his most vulnerable
