Sting Impacting Wrestlemania, Gauging WWE Returns, Undertaker vs. Lesnar, Knockouts Back To WWE

If Sting decides not to re-sign with TNA Wrestling and ends up in WWE, will that change the Wrestlemania XXX lineup that WWE is trying to construct?

If WWE is able to land Sting it would obviously have major implications on the Wrestlemania XXX lineup, however, that is still a major if. The company is in the process of constructing a Wrestlemania lineup with the assumption that The Rock is not working and that’s the biggest takeaway thus far. That became even more evident when promotional information for Wrestlemania XXX tickets did not include Rock.

What are the chances we see Matt Morgan show up in WWE? While I’m at it, Hulk Hogan? Jeff Hardy?

The chances are actually pretty good as WWE has had interest in Matt Morgan for quite some time. Morgan is a rarity because he’s a big guy that can work. It’s like a center in the NBA, there aren’t many of them and because of that scarcity, there will always be opportunities. I have not heard about a formal offer being extended but I know there is WWE interest. Hulk Hogan is the ultimate opportunist that is always looking out for what is best for his brand. Hogan and Eric Bischoff have downplayed his inclusion in WWE 2K14 but let’s not get it twisted, the bridge is being rebuilt. I don’t see Hogan returning to the ring but I absolutely think he would entertain a return [to WWE] for the merchandise and licensing opportunities. As for Jeff Hardy, he re-signed with TNA in February and will likely finish his career there.

If neither The Rock nor The Undertaker faces Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania XXX, who else can face Lesnar at Wrestlemania next year?

We all know the speculation of it being Brock Lesnar vs. Ryback, which I would not welcome, but that’s not going to stop the talk. I know for a fact Undertaker was interested in working Lesnar last year but was told that’s not the plan going into the fall. At this point I want to wait and hear from a couple of my sources before speculating on opponents for Undertaker and Lesnar. The one thing that you can take to the bank is that both will be involved in major matches at the pay-per-view.

With both Tara and Mickie James recently leaving TNA, do you see either woman going back to WWE? And if so, is WWE interested in having them back?

I was told WWE’s interest in Mickie James was minimal and that she is currently in negotiations with TNA Wrestling about a new a contract. TNA provides Mickie with a good opportunity because she is also pursuing a career as a country music artist. Tara has great connections within WWE and while I don’t think she’s aged a bit, the fact she is 42 concerns me that WWE would not be interested in her returning as an on-air talent.

wow wwe really don’t want good divas do they

    • Jesse Sherwood

Mickie James hasn’t been great for a number of years. Her time in TNA has shown just how weak she is in all aspects of the business. She is quite plastic on the mic and her ring work is average at best.

      • smark calloway

as somebody myself who has actually set foot in the ring and has been in the business for a number of years ( and is also an adept student of the game ) i can tell you mickie james is very competent in the squared circle. in fact she is a lot better than a lot of the men in tna . but i guess i see and notice things that perhaps you and others without a ” trained eye ” might not notice

        • Jesse Sherwood

I’ve been in the business as well Calloway, albeit nearly a decade ago, and while she may be better than some of the men such as Robbie E and Jessie Goderez, but in comparison to the talent in the Knockouts Division, she pales to every single person, including Taryn. Mickie has moments that she shines brightly, but unlike Tara and Gail Kim, who like a good wine have improved with age, Mickie has stagnated, if not regressed in some ways, and the only thing I can attribute it to is the fact that she isn’t wholly focused on her wrestling career.

          • smark calloway

i beg to differ . i feel that odb pales in comparison to james. mickie still does subtle things that i notice and if she is ” on ” ( and no i dont mean the time of the month definition of “on ” ) and focused, then put her in the ring with any knockout and she will produce a good match . i dont think you could say the same about odb , i dont think she can do that…. but yes, i agree about gail and tara. taryn also, she is one of the best bump takers out there at the moment . male or female ( the back bump off the stage in the gail kim match for example )

        • Mysterion

That’s the most arrogant comment this site has ever actually seen. A few people who use this site are wrestlers. It’s not rare. But they don’t act like their better than other people because if it.

          • smark calloway

haha if you think im arrogant then it means im doing my job properly then ..but of course i ( or anyone else who knows what theyre doing in that ring ) would know more than an average fan . i mean , can you tell me the three basic things a match needs to have in it ? .. i have been taught by , and given advice from such luminaries as ” raven, jake roberts, al snow , finley , kevin nash , bret hart “and more … some times it makes me laugh when you ” armchair quarterbacks ” bad mouth a talented individual , and think they dont know what they are doing . the bellas for example. now they get a bad rap on here and other dirt sheets but why ? they can draw ( they are the main reason total divas has been the success it has . they are the ones everybody is talking about ) they play their characters well ( yes they are characters . if you saw them away from the wwe cameras you would see they are not anything like what you see on tv . and yes , they might have politicked to stop certain other females into the company ,we dont know 100 percent if thats true , but politicking has always been rife in the business. you dont think cena has been on top for 8 years without politics do you? you dont think punk kept the title for 400 + days without politics do you ? ) and heres the one that gets me , you bad mouth the bellas in ring work . yeah they might not fly around the ring like naomi or have the facials and presence of aj lee , but they know what they are doing in there.. in fact back last year on his twitter, bret hart himself applauded the bellas on their ring work and spoke very highly of them .. and bret of all people knows what makes a good performer .and i see things they do sometimes too ,. holds , moves etc that you can tell have been passed onto them by an old school performer ( maybe finley , as he is known to work closely with the divas ) they obviously listen and apply what has been taught to them and want to learn …but no one else notices or thinks of things like that , so sometimes i feel like im head and shoulders above the rest of you ..and rightly so..oh and im not ” trolling ” as seems to be the buzz word around here, im just stating facts

    • Steve pritchard

Wwe only view the divas as eye candy. Aj lee is head and shoulders above the whole roster in terms of talent. The rest are just a waiste of breathing air that need a reality show to actually get people to notice them outside of cat calls from the crowd. Its kinda sad if you think about how untalented they actually are.

  • Hercules Rockerfeller

Lets face it, Tara is the real rarity here, not Matt Morgan! BOOM!

  • Steve pritchard

Not interested in lesnar/taker. Cena / taker i think will be the better draw at this point. Bryan would be a good opponent for taker , but i see him possibly being involved in the main event. I actually wouldnt mind a goldberg / lesnar rematch to make up for the garbage we got at wm . I think vince is waiting to see what sting does before choosing takers wm opponent. I personaly would not mind cena / taker. I just hope they dont pollute wm 30 with part timers. Thats what hurt last years mania and they can do without them this year if they book correctly.

  • Jbreed

It’s screwed up how with all the talent on the current WWE the only thing people seem to care about is who could make a possible return to the WWE or which part-timer will main event WM 30.

  • Jimmy

Don’t Taker and Lesnar dislike each other? I still remember that video of them staring down and Taker asking him if he wanted to fight after one of Lesnar’s UFC fights while Taker was being interviewed.

    • smark calloway

      haha that was a work

      • Jimmy

Was it really? Did it lead to anything? Why would they have done it since Brock had no plans at that time of doing anything with WWE?

        • smark calloway

Taker and Brock are friends away from the business . So they did it to get people talking

  • BigMike

WWE would never hire Lisa Marie back as she is 42 AND she can actually wrestle and the WWE has an issue with quality athletes except for Nattie(( bellas are ok but not at Nattie or Tara’s level)) otherw wise if WWE was interested in actually having female WRESTLERS they would have kept Mickie, Gail and Beth

    • TheBigKing1

Beth left on her own bro. Open to come back in the future.

  • BigMike

Matt Morgan is a biog guy that can work but comparing him to a center in the NBA is not etitrely accurate as there are TONS of 7 ft centers in the NBA I think you meant athletic 7 Ft Centers like Amare, DUncan,SHaq((Prime )) among others
