#StrikeOutALS – WNW’s Ice Bucket Challenge

As most of you know, many Superstars and celebrities have been taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to help benefit research of ALS. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a severely debilitating disease that quickly robs its victims of their mobility and quality of life. The average amount of time a person lives with the disease is 3 years, and there is only one drug currently on the market that helps extend a person’s life with it, and that is only by 3-4 months. I decided to take the challenge at the encouragement of my friends and family, which you can see below.

While I have formally challenged Richard Gray, Kendra Bunyon (Her daughter Sam as her proxy), and Alex Barie to complete the challenge, I want to challenge every single reader of WNW to at least donate something to this worthy cause. I myself have donated $50 to alsa.org and while I can’t expect everyone to match that, I can hope that you would at least give $10. With everyone pitching in, we can hopefully find better treatments and maybe a cure.

This Ice Bucket Challenge thing is really taking off. It’s pretty cool to see so many people get involved.

Sam will be doing her ice bucket in the next couple days (for me due to personal health reasons), and it will be posted here as well!

With a little work there, Alex…you could be a Blue Meanie impersonator!

    • Jesse Sherwood

It’s not Alex, that’s me Dave. And I’ll take that as a compliment! I just need to dust off my daisy dukes and cutoff BWO shirt…

      • Dave Barton

Dammit, where the hell did I get Alex from? I know I meant to write Jesse!

But yes, Meanie was a favorite of mine in ECW, so it was intended as a compliment.
