As most of you know, many Superstars and celebrities have been taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to help benefit research of ALS. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a severely debilitating disease that quickly robs its victims of their mobility and quality of life. The average amount of time a person lives with the disease is 3 years, and there is only one drug currently on the market that helps extend a person’s life with it, and that is only by 3-4 months. I decided to take the challenge at the encouragement of my friends and family, which you can see below.
While I have formally challenged Richard Gray, Kendra Bunyon (Her daughter Sam as her proxy), and Alex Barie to complete the challenge, I want to challenge every single reader of WNW to at least donate something to this worthy cause. I myself have donated $50 to alsa.org and while I can’t expect everyone to match that, I can hope that you would at least give $10. With everyone pitching in, we can hopefully find better treatments and maybe a cure.
