I hope he gets better I’ve always liked Sid and his gimmick. The guy has been through a lot that freak accident when he broke his leg. Now this I hope that Sid comes out of this ok a true hall of famer.

He was one of my favourites when I was a child – in fact he featured in the very first few minutes of wrestling I saw on TV. NWA was being shown late at night on UK TV and my dad had recorded a programme for me (on video) and the recording had caught the end of the wrestling. Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed) were performing a beat-down on Arn Anderson and Sid ran out to make the save. I was instantly fixed on wrestling! Sid was one of my favourites and I was very excited when he showed up in WWF. John Lauranitis pushed him into a spot he wasn’t comfortable with and despite Sid not being openly bitter or putting the blame on John Lauranitis I still think it was one of many bad moves by Lauranitis.
