Sydney Eick finished up with Ring of Honor at last night’s show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as he was let go by Sinclair Broadcasting.
Eick has worked for ROH since its inception, working the door at shows and having a direct role in the promotion’s day-to-day operations.
Eick, along with Cary Silkin, Ross Abrams, Hunter Johnston (Delirious) and Jim Cornette were all retained as front office members of ROH following the sale to Sinclair Broadcasting.
Syd had his fair share of detractors and Austin Aries took his disdain public when he learned of Sinclair’s decision. Aries posted the following on Twitter:
@ScrapDaddyAP @BookItGabe @rohcaryJust heard some #GREAT news. About damn time someone got smart. #SeeYaPal #CutTheCancerOut
